Exclusive news coming later from Les Reid

In fairness to him, this story is pretty interesting news.

    Football league admit incompetance!!!

Wait, wait, wait. They knew in March but waited until August before they finally came clean? Love how they also "claim" that it doesn't break their rules and that assets can "straddle" companies. Are they trying to make football open slather for all sorts of underhanded practises? So...

Exclusive news coming later from Les Reid

Timmy bought a new dog? ACL directors seen purchasing one thousand helium balloons? Joy Seppala offers to play Lady Godiva for the next Sky Blue Trust march?

I think rape and giving money to a football club are hardly comparative. I also think you can show disapproval without abusing someone personally. Attack the argument by all means, but why attack the person?

Reasonable question. You could argue that any money ACL make is put back into the community in some way, while any money SISU (not CCFC) make is sent to the Cayman Islands. Personally the only body in this whole mess I care about making money is CCFC.

Ah. Maybe I'm confusing it with the 'heads of terms/handshake' incident. Too many bloody negotiations and alleged deals to keep track of. Thanks for the clarification.

I'm happy to volunteer, if the club can pay to fly me over :D

And further to that, why was the deal scuppered? Did SISU pull out or did CCC veto the deal? IIRC, the public statements on this issue are polar opposites.

Yep, there may not be any sale of players; hopefully the rest of the bomb squad can be moved on quickly and we don't need to lose them. Still time in the window though, so I wouldn't make any conclusions about them not going anywhere just yet. Finally, even if (and it's a big if) CCC and ACL...

What does that have to do with anything?

Fair point. I do honestly believe though that most people who are in the NOPM camp would come back if the club were in Coventry. Though my annual financial contribution is fairly negligible, I probably would buy my membership and merchandise if the club were in Coventry.

To say it's 'not working' when the campaign has just started is unfair, in my view. This is something that will take time. Maybe it'll work, maybe it won't. Maybe that fuckstain Clarke is correct when he says it won't matter because SISU are flush with cash. It's better than just rolling over...

You'd probably see a split. Some would resume their financial support of the club. Others wouldn't. Does it really matter? We should all be entitled to make our choices without abuse or judgment.

greg clarke interveiw on cwr after 7 this morning

My blood is boiling just reading this thread. I'd like to congratulate Greg Clarke for managing to be even more despised than SISU in my eyes. I don't want to give up on the club but it's getting harder to care the longer this bullshit drags on.

So if sisu have the money

Oh, so because it's 'commonplace' then we should just roll over and accept it every season? Sorry, I want Coventry City to be successful on the pitch, and constant transfer embargoes have done nothing to achieve that aim over the last three seasons. Look at the players we have allegedly been...

I doubt he'll be missed. Gives Burge a chance to step up and see if he's got what it takes.

    Views from Preston

Frankly I'd prefer it if the infighting between City fans was ended before I worried about what other clubs' supporters thought of us. And anyway, it's Preston. They're living off the glory years of the late 19th century. At least most of our fans were alive the last time our club was remotely...

Tim Fisher. Does anybody have anything positive to say about him ?

Don't mean to piss on your chips, but he was criticised because just a few hours earlier, he made a remark about never speaking to ACL until the points deduction was returned to them, thereby implying that he would never return to the Ricoh. For the public spokesperson for a football club to...

    FANS going sixfields

Northampton attendees who drop that "proper fan me" bullshit are just as bad as the "YOU ARE SISU SCABS" brigade, in my view. Both seek to create and maintain division in the fanbase. And I'm sick of this true/loyal/proper fan shit. We all care about the club and want it to succeed, but...

    fisher on CWR now

I don't think everyone is suggesting that planning permission will be impossible, just that it will probably take longer than the magic three years that Timbo is counting on (oh sorry, five years for 'slippage').
