With many contracts expiring at the end of the season have discussions been held with certain players to keep them on for next season and beyond, regardless of which league we are in? Thinking Martin, Fleck, Ricketts, Stokes etc.

Martin was excellent first half of the season, but injuries change things unfortunately. Agree with Otis, he'll have to wait for an injury or loss of form to Cargill/Stephens - some continuity at the back would be welcome right now.

You can tell when he plays he is a very clever footballer, knows his limitations and plays to his strengths well. Holds the ball up well, rarely concedes possession and good in the air for someone below 6'0". Would also have him in the squad over Fortune. Model pro and a good asset to this team.

Just checked and Gareth Gates is only 31, feels like he's been around for ever! A bit like Aaron Lennon, who unbelievably is only 28.
