Crazy game. The right result. We found some clinical play in their box at last. But we were awful defensively. We’ve got to sort that. JDS is goals against straight away and puts us into so much trouble. Really good from Grimes, BTA, and EMC today.

I’d consider Brau for Dasilva. We’ve played ok but just concede such stupid goals.

Same old same old. The better team but can’t defend and just not clinical enough with our final pass. Our choices in the final third are terrible. Someone needs to explain to the defenders that row Z is sometimes the best option.

Can we debunk the myth that Simms is a confidence player. His level of performance is consistent and doesn’t seem to vary in that way. He’ll get streaks where things go in for him but I think that’s just the game.

Thought he did ok against sketchy opposition. Obviously wanted to impress and just held on to it a bit too long at times. He was out of position though and he certainly didn’t do himself any harm.

Should never happen in the ground - I think all agree. On here it’s different. It’s not slagging players off - it’s just assessing and commenting on how they played. Others will have different opinions which is the whole idea.

Kitching has been our best centre half for a long time. No idea why it took Lampard and co so long to start him. The game last night should also out to bed the nonsense /obsession about left footed and right footed CH’s. It doesn’t matter which they are or what side they play.

I don’t think anyone takes pleasure from it. I certainly don’t. Just commenting on the game.

I don’t see why we can’t be disappointed by Simms missing 3/4 good chances. He was clearly disappointed himself.

Not at all. I’d love to see him score hatfuls of goals. It’s a match thread. He was awful against very very mediocre opposition. Nothing against him. Just a view on the game.

Sorry, but championship strikers should at least hit the target with at least 3 out of the 5 chances he had.

Thought Kitching was clear mom. Good performances from Torp, Raphael, KKH and Allen. Won’t mention the negatives.

Just appraising what I saw on the pitch. Some good. Some awful.

Kessler-Hayden, Brau, Raphael, Torp did well. Kitching was the difference for me. Simms. Sorry, just dreadful. Doesn’t do anything like a natural footballer. Genuinely felt for him.
