Making 8x what we paid on him would be excellent business if we can get a replacement. People say we need to upgrade the defence but then complain when we have to move people on. Seems a fair price to me and allows us to hopefully go and get players to suit FL.

Again that's a very simplistic understanding of football sorry. You can't sign unlimited players, we have signed replacements. If you aren't happy with them that's a different conversation but he has been replaced.

He's worth it if he scores 20 goals that gets us promoted which he has a history of doing in this league. But no I wouldn't sign him in this case as he doesn't suit the style of play.

This is a rather rudimentary view on player recruitment. His place in the squad has 100% been filled. By Grimes and Torp take your pick. They aren't the same type of player no, but that's a recruitment choice based on style. So he has been replaced.

It shows how different we are being ran if selling your best player 3 weeks before the end of the window is now suddenly the worst thing in the world. We used to leave it until deadline day and not replace them. 3 weeks is plenty of time to find a replacement which is why the 'next couple days...

I agree that people have overreacted to a 0-0 draw I think it's hangover from the play offs and that we need to settle into the new season .

I don't know what you are basing them not being the best source for it on? I highly doubt there are more then a couple of sources who feed most websites. But if you say so I can't argue as I don't know. Even if you take the average of around 1.0 it still doesn't suggest much in terms of chance...

0.87 is not a decent xG. I agree that there is a lot of hyperbole on here after 1 match, but it was a poor performance that I'm sure we will improve upon.

It's not 2000 anymore. It's a squad game it's a long season, and the reality is we don't know our best team yet other than 'on paper'. How do any players ever break through if you never actually play them. It's such a weird take on football in this day and age. Squad rotation is key.

Pretty poor performance. Still clearly not there fitness wise, but it's a point and a clean sheet. Need more ideas than get it wide and put it in the box, we don't have the strikers for it to be effective all the time.
