    Mourinho, mad dogs and Ogogo

He played out there vs Charlton away and was very ineffective, until he came back into the middle when Kelly was subbed and Hiwula came on.

On the contrary I think he does hold some affection for the club. On Gary Neville's Soccerbox programme they showed a couple of his old Coventry goals and he spoke quite fondly about enjoying his season with us.

It was a very good save, not a horrendous penalty by any means. Poor old Marc

    Your January transfer window

Exactly. I've heard rumours (stress rumours) that Willis is a fairly average earner in relation to the squad, would imagine he'd want a reasonable rise to make him commit for any length of time.

    Ex Player Watch

Indeed he was - came through West Ham's youth system around the same time as the likes of Jack Collison, Junior Stanislas, Freddie Sears, James Tomkins etc. Careers have gone in different directions for that lot it's fair to say

    Your January transfer window

Agree that LW definitely needs addressing. After that to be honest I don't know how much we would be able to upgrade on what we already have, it's always notoriously difficult in January to bring in quality additions. I'd rather we spent the cash on contract extensions for players: Burge, Willis...

Worst Manager since premier league relegation

It really annoyed me that we gave him a full summer transfer window for recruitment then sacked him 3 games into the season. Should have been replaced in the summer really.

Worst Manager since premier league relegation

Foley, Rawson, Yakubu and Clarke were far, far worse signings than Beavon was

Worst Manager since premier league relegation

God there are so many. On record it's Thorn, but Coleman for me was dreadful considering the resources he had available and the players he managed to attract. Honourable mentions for McAllister, Reid and Slade.

Agree - spelling and grammar is quite a basic thing to get right in my mind, especially with the advent of the spell checker. Inexcusable mistakes for this line of work, really.

Yeah I think Willis is about the same, if not 5'11''. Gets away with it as he has a decent leap and he's now clever enough to drop off where he knows he has no chance of winning the initial header.

Jordan Shipley - is he good enough for league 1

It's really, really boring hearing the older generation harp on about the good old days and how players from the 60s/70s were so much better than this current crop blah blah etc etc. Completely irrelevant points to make as the game was entirely different to how it is now and I find it's often...

You're correct re Shipley. Rolled his ankle in the warm up and had to battle through the 90. Not sure why he didn't start on the bench or get subbed considering the manner in which MR approached the game.

    Clough flapping for Saturday

Boyce is their top scorer, scored twice in their League Cup run as well. Evtimov is a keeper I believe, ex-Forest.

    Chaplin's Pace?

Great post. "Doyle's legs have gone" is a lazy argument to make. He is critical to way this team functions and I don't think Kelly or Ogogo can adequately fill the same role that he does.

Have to play strongest side, want to progress in the FA cup. Doyle should start 100%. Assuming Sterling and Bayliss are still out: Burge Grimmer/Thompson Willis Davies Brown Thomas (if eligible) Doyle Kelly Hiwula Chaplin JCH LOB, Grimmer/Thompson, Hyam, Ogogo, Shipley, Jones, Bakayoko
