Even if you buy into the time to gel argument which clearly some do and some don't the fact remains that most league 1 sides have a lot of outgoings and incomings at the end of each season so every team is in the same boat surely?

Three years ago maybe....injuries have taken their toll badly on him. His legs are shot and wages likely to be high. He is now complete garbage as is this barton fella that people seem to be gettign excited about would be disappointed to sign both of these.....waste of wages though at least...

If our results in pre-season are not relevant than neither are Bigi's pre-season performances? I think it was not bad business and wish Bigi all the best but will have a wage he does not start 15 of Newcastle's league games this year....despite his world class pre-season friendly performances......
