    50% in squad budget

I would think the cutbacks need to happen as we have far less money coming in and cuts do probably go across all levels of the football club. Our squad of players salaries comparitively is far higher up the league than we are achieving currently that is for sure!!

If Other Clubs Can Do It Why Can't We ?

How often have Middlesbrough beaten premier league oppo away from home before yesterday in last 20 years....same question for Bradford? Every dog has it's day......our next one may be some time away sadly though!!

If Other Clubs Can Do It Why Can't We ?

To be fair we have in not too dim and distant times - beat Man Utd away in league cup.....beat Blackburn in fa cup away to name a few. People have selective memories........

    What's with us and penalties?

tbf if he misshit himself too can see why he might have been distracted on run up :o

    What's with us and penalties?

Problem is no-one has scored enough goals or converted enough to be a regular taker but do agree we should have one. I think it should be Job sure he used to take them for Barnsley followed by Jackson as he used to take them. I do not think a loan player should take them ideally but as others...

    Madine wants to stay

Would not be bothered if do not keep him - if he takes a massive drop in wage and we get him for free transfer then maybe!

Yeovil Match Thread (The day Pressley gets the bullet?)

I have to agree with LJ on this occasion our squad is more than competitve at this level a lot speak crap when it comes to comparing league one squads....sadly sir ernie on that last post has joined the list!

    Transfer Window Thread

Cook is third choice keeper somebody has to be and waste of wages to pay for a no3 choice youngster ideal. All teams have injuries over course of season four is hardly a crippling list, Phillips for some reason best know to SP is not first choice. Neither is Pugh as Haynes takes preference...

Yeovil Match Thread (The day Pressley gets the bullet?)

It's a tricky one I am in Pressley out camp firmly now but I have a feeling we will scrape a win....on balance I want this even if it means Pressley stays on. We have a habit of nicking resukt just when we near crisis point so going for Yeovil 1 - Coventry 2 scoreline.

    Transfer Window Thread

Yep Stupot completely agree but why let the facts get in the way on an update. Far better to look at squad which is still probably as large/larger than most in this league. Keepers (3) - Jones, Burge, Reice cook. Defenders (8) - Phillips, Wllis, Pennington, Haynes, Webster, Martin...

    Jamie Jones

I think he is probably better than Burge tbh prrof is in the pudding and all that but think it will be an ok signing tbh...hope so anyhow!!

Coventry City boss Steven Pressley tells striker Marcus Tudgay he's staying put

Stupot you're right when you put it like that we have an embarassment of riches in the non-goalscoring forwards department don't know why we are worrying! :D How could I have forgotten the best finisher at the club in Miller I think Madine's 1 in 4 probably secured at a lower level overall he...

Coventry City boss Steven Pressley tells striker Marcus Tudgay he's staying put

My Logic regarding Tudgay better goalscoring potential ratio to wages is simple really. Goals - I think he's goals per game career ratio overall is better than Madine's/Nouble's and Jacksons whatsmore at a higher level too. Wages - Tudguy did not have a club so expect he would have lowish wage...

Coventry City boss Steven Pressley tells striker Marcus Tudgay he's staying put

Pressley is an idiot and I don't believe for one second that Tudgay was injured - but although Pressley should already be job hunting by now I welcome this u-turn. I think Tudguy is our best striker at the club wages/goal potential considering and I include Madine in that. I hope we have...
