We were never gonna catch Barnsley as they have a favourable run in. In my eyes only millwall and gillingham are catchable as we can take pts from they and dent there hopes and momentum. Only issue is we desperately need momentum.
Tomorrow is clearly do or die... And I'm not confident...
On a positive note as it looks highly likely we are gonna still be in league one next season some good away days next year:
Northampton, Oxford and I fancy Portsmouth to do the playoffs. Hopefully MK Dons will be relegated from the championship.
Praying Blackpool survive too, but gutted Crewe...
A game we were awful in, forest dominated and should of scored a hat full but failed to do enough and we sneaked the draw. Des walkers last game to possibly, went off injured within first few mins
Pivotal moment was letting a sloppy goal in just before the break. Your chasing a game then and home side gain belief and ours drops after some good chances.
Goals win games and mistakes cost games...
Good point about Willis. Can use him as a right back. Kelly Evans too, could see the end of Phillips then. The lad needs a season long loan spell but then he's 23/24... Not ideal for us.
Phillips is tough one, he's looked ok in games but then made some silly errors in others. He cannot be on much of a wage to keep as a back up to Lorenztson say.
Issue is with Phillips is he needs a good loan spell to get a run of games to gain experience. 10 games here and another 5 there ain't...
Anyone use this on the iPhone/iPad? Cannot for the life of me get it to save in iCloud so I can switch devices. Used it on previous games but not this years
Ricketts has been at fault for most of our set pieces conceded over the season. Always looses his man and turns his back. Yes he's been playing out of position most of the season as he's naturally a right back of left back. However at over 6 ft tall and 10 years minimum playing at a good level...
Dier looked to fit in quite well, rose did ok, Ali looks world class sometimes and is going places, and Kane is clearly on top of his game.
Welbeck, Henderson and lallana looked off the pace and the weak links.
RCC form did drop and yes cost us points. I agree.
But he's also saved us more points than he's cost us. Even at Crewe away if it was not for RCC Crewe could of and should of scored 5 them selves in the second half. Defence was all over the place. RCC kept them out single handed. Plenty more...
The playing out from the back I agree could be better like it was when "things were good" reda would point and away we'd go.
Yesterday's first goal has to be Ricketts fault, not the keepers postioning. I doubt he'd of got it if he came, Ricketts should of delt with that till its cleared...
Straight up, the lad has ability.
The main issue is no one takes charge in the back 5 or back 4 when Ricketts switches off and is inactive. If you've a young keeper the experienced centre half will comment and lead the line. That mans been Ricketts, and guess what he's not talking or...
RCC has improved massively over the season. The lad gets no protection from the poor defence in front of him and is only 85% fit.
Look how solid he was when we had reda in the team a strong commanding centre half organising the back 5, RCC didn't concede for games! This is what the lad needs to...
