    Since Bayliss came in

Google offers a few PPG meanings, and Peppa Pig isn’t among them. It’s a global paint supplier, so their products were probably smeared by Mowbray all over the Ryton canteen, where the players boost their Post-Prandial Glucose levels before having a go on the Penile PlethysmoGraph. I wouldn’t...

    Since Bayliss came in

There’s no way I’d call him lazy, maybe he’s just “mild-mannered” ;) You can see his commitment and he works his socks off. But like a lot of creative players creative skills, he’s not naturally aggressive and can’t defend that well. If you play someone like that as one of your midfielders in...

    Since Bayliss came in

I don't know what that means. Have you got any PPG Tips?

    Since Bayliss came in

First 21 games before Bayliss made his debut: F 21 A 14 35 goals = 1.7 goals per match at either end Win ratio 43% Last 24 matches since Bayliss started playing (I realise he’s missed a couple, if anyone can be bothered to separate those games out, please feel free!): F 43 A 33...

    Lincoln Lowlights

Same applies on the left. Why not Shipley behind Haynes instead of the other way around? Grimmer and Haynes both have ability at this level, but I really don’t like either of them as full backs. Playing further forward would give them more freedom to do their thing. Haynes especially looks...

    Blair Adams

I thought he was a fantastic left back, and a key part of that purple patch when Robins had us flying. Hard to understand how his career can have gone do far downhill, and I hope it's not too late for him to revive it.

    Favourite ever goal?

Ernie Hunt curling it over the Burnley keeper (Waiters?) from near the halfway line at Highfield Road in the early 1970's. What an entertainer he was.

    MK Away Picture Thread

Good to see Iain Dowie was there, just above the Mad Hatters.

    Biggest Transfer Shock

Denis Mortimer to Villa (for £175K I think) in the mid-70's. Hated it.

    Cyrille or Dion?

This thread shouldn’t be active, trying to compare the merits of a recently-deceased hero with another hero who idolised him, and even getting into unrelated arguments. At this time, you could line up the best 50 players who ever lived, and I’d still choose Cyrille above the lot of them. And...

    Video Cyrille Regis 1958-2018

A lovely tribute. Despite the sadness of it all, it's wonderful to see that enormous grin across Cyrille's face after so many of the goals. Such charisma. When he sprints through and smashes that one in at Hillsborough, I can't help punching the air :)

    Player Ratings

There tends to be some “grade inflation” when we get the win. If we’d lost today (as could easily have happened if Swindon hadn’t passed up so many chances) I reckon there would have been some very low ratings dished out. Burge 7 (but 2 for his distribution) Grimmer 6 Stokes 6 Willis 8 Davis 8...

What important, or great goals have you missed over the years?

Sorry to hear you missed that brilliant game, but yes it was dangerous alright - swept off my feet a number of times that day. In hindsight, I wish I'd raised a complaint or raised it with an MP or something, but it would have been futile. And it wasn't only that ground where it used to happen...

What important, or great goals have you missed over the years?

Brian Joicey’s early winner at Molineux in 1970 that took us into Europe – got caught in traffic & arrived just in time to see & hear the goal celebrations of the City fans from outside the ground ☹ Ernie’s “donkey kick” – just about the only home game I missed that year, because of some kind...

Which goal made you go the most mental?

Ah, the delights of Moss Side :)

Which goal made you go the most mental?

Some people remember where they were when Kennedy was shot. But I remember more important stuff, like where I was when Bodak floated it over Corrigan - listening on the radio in the car park at Pool Meadow. It was a memorable moment even in sound only:) Wish I'd been there, I went to a lot of...

Which goal made you go the most mental?

Can't say I got vertigo, but it's certainly the biggest and most concentrated mass of Sky Blues fans all under one roof that I can remember. That end behind the goal held way over 20.000, and I've just looked at the total attendanced for that game - 51,372!

Which goal made you go the most mental?

Plenty of good shouts, and I could "like" a lot of them. But for me it can only be Gynn's equaliser at Hillsborough in the semi. In that huge terraced end it sounded like an atomic bomb had gone off.

Which goal made you go the most mental?

Ah yes, the radio commentary went something like "and he scores, in off the bar, no it's been saved, yes it's a goal, no it didn't cross the line" I was in a heap on the floor.

    Big Cyrille

Caught up with the pre-match item from last night's Chelsea / Norwich game, including Dion getting upset, and right enough it got me going again. One thing is clear this week, there's not a soul in the world of football who doesn't regard Cyrille as a wonderful player and the greatest of guys.
