    Slade and the players

To me our season has been based to heavily on young loanees again to supplement our own kids. You need a base of your own players who've played a few seasons and build that team spirt and galvanise something that new players buy into. Everything is forever short term

    Slade and the players

----------------**** ---------------- --***** --Clarke(c)--Rawson---***** -- --***** --Foley---Reilly---vernam --- ---------Beavon--*****----------- Yes this was the team of players RS singed against Bury. Clarke, foley and Beavon signings, and rawson, vernam, Reilly loans.

I'm as the same opinion, can be used weekly till we get our club back! Keep it in general stadium requirements... Get buckets at the turnstiles and generate the funds. Only a few hundred to a thousand quid required I'd imagine. 50p £1 by each supporter should generate it easily in a match day or...

Match Thread Shrewsbury v Coventry Match Thread - Saturday 4th Mar

I've one name on my team sheet. 10 places available to anyone that will put a shift in for 96 mins and remotely care and has some ability to play. I'm struggling....

    Nathan Clarke

I don't understand why people see Willis playing at right back as so out of position. It's not his best position but he can play that role and did a lot under Steven Pressley and Tony Mowbray. Altho he don't do the attacking full back role he is mobile enough and quick to supposedly form a...

    Slade and the players

DKE, George Thomas and Stuart Beavon are the only names you can say look like it hurts. Kwame Thomas you could put a case of trying forwards with Callum Reilly.

    Slade and the players

I see your point it's a shield to hide behind the title of not good enough. The reality is there application, desire and mental strength is not good enough weekly. It's been a failure on many parts. Take players like Turnbull coming from big academy's via stints at clubs on loan, them players...

    Nathan Clarke

It's failure to recognise the level we're actually at and size of club we've really become. We're not a big club, a pull, to most players in there late teens, mid twenties don't look at cov as a ex premiership club, a club once with a proud history. were miles away from them days and so are the...

    Slade and the players

Very well put! They quite simply ain't good enough, yes some of them are "our own" and a few will come good. Plenty show promise in the u23's but that's completely different to league one or two. The mental strength is lacking in most, heart and desire not there in others. Where we have...

    Nathan Clarke

Yeah I know I agree on what we've seen from him lately, could not believe it when I seen it on the highlights. X2 shocking back to back games he's had. This is where big decisions from the club need making for next season, and plans putting in place. Clarke will be gone in the summer unless...

    Nathan Clarke

The job is huge, the whole back 5 needs rebuilding, starting with a keeper is a must. Clarke's been fairly robust generally but for Oldham, and last 2 games he's been poor. Everything we need in a leader and in the air, but will get turned easily if he gets in too tight, not the quickest at...

The thing is to now look ahead to not make the same recruitment mistakes again going into league two.

Were on our 3rd manager because of the damage the 2nd one did beacause the 1st one under equipped it for a thought season in a physical mans league. Average players can perform together, but Damaged average players cannot be fixed to play as a team by any manager now matter how good they are.

You really are a top football nut ain't you.... im talking personal mental strength... remember MV tearing them apart after Southend? You must of forgot about Charlton away, Oxford away, Cambridge too, that was the same squad that went in the little run under MV before confidence fell out there...

The manager from march 2015 to 29th September 2016 you bring up every time ha ha ha!!! The squad is more fragile and damaged yet he still got the same points total as the gaffer before MV. Yes the wheels have come off as others picked up points around us and pressure mounted on them fragile...

Ha ha ha ha, stop ranting and talk/write English! Ha ha keep ducking.... I'll give you a fair reasoned answer for every Mowbray defence you give.... now tell me more about them points we lost and promotion wheels that came off with a side flying.... and I'll tell you why we're 14 points adrift...

    Slade last night.

Yeah last nights first half I find hard to justify. The rest I can. But the quote is wrong just like when he said "there's a championship or league one performance in all of them" just never all together as a team was his point.

    Next Manager

Not so sure most or players parents will like his management style!! Be a lot of sad little boys coming home. Seems to be more Miss at clubs than a hit. Done ok at Gillingham but more so at several spells at Barnet. Plus I think TM would be to scared to hire him!
