    Never change a winning side

People saying Brereton Diaz can't play against us, I don't think that is definite. The red list countries are being reviewed next week, and Chile are doing well re: Covid, with a current 7 day average of only 629 new cases and 84.6 double vaccinated. They could come off the red list next week...

    Still an offence

    The Penalty

You are probably right, but a ref can caution a player for a dive if that's the way he sees it. some players are really good at drawing a foul, even to the extent of sticking their foot out to make contact in a way that looks like they were fouled. Godden isn't one of those players who...

    The Penalty

Does anyone remember the Robbie Fowler penalty incident? He fell over in the box and was awarded a penalty, he tried to get the ref to change his mind without success. https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/robbie-fowler-recalls-day-refused-8913864 sometimes players just slip or fall...

It might be worth reading this https://www.thefa.com/football-rules-governance/lawsandrules/laws/football-11-11/law-11---offside Offside offence A player in an offside position at the moment the ball is played or touched* by a team-mate is only penalised on becoming involved in active play...

    The Penalty

If I'm correct a foul outside the box where the contact continues into the box is now deemed to be a penalty, so a foul outside the box where the player continues on and falls inside the box is not a penalty if the contact ended before he entered the box. Is this what you mean?

    The Penalty

From this angle it looked a clear penalty, this is what the ref would have seen. From the front there was clearly no contact but if you are running flat out and someone sticks a leg out, what would you do? The defender was stupid for giving the ref a decision to make.

When are you going to get excited?

For me it was yesterday. Bad defending and mistakes or not, Fulham are on paper the team to beat, Bournemouth are my biggest worry, but I will settle for 2nd place.

Not unless he tests positive at some point, Only red countries are affected I think

    Awareness

It's amazing how many supporters say their team played rubbish, it's never the opposition that made it happen.

I assume Sweden are home to Kosovo and Greece, and as Sweden are an amber list country he will be OK to play against Blackburn provided his Covid test is negative

Won't their first choice strikers will be Isak and Quaison?

Strange how this game was almost a mirror image of Wednesday, even down to the dodgy penalty and its apparent influence on the rest of the game.
