Most major capitals have become "international cities" thanks to globalisation thus English has become the lingua franca. If you want to experience Holland then you're better off visiting smaller cities/towns and villages where you get that proper local feel.

Shocking that really. Can't imagine visiting another country let alone living there without knowing at the very least few words and phrases to communicate with locals. When in Rome... or in this case, when in Amsterdam...

Kitching would probably cost the same as Barnsley won't let him go on the cheap. For 2-3m euros I'd rather Binks over Kitching. More experience at a higher level and younger.

I was really impressed with his English when I watched the signing videos. The English teaching standard in Holland must be quite high plus Dutch and Frisian are the two closest languages to English.

I think he really wants to go to Feyenoord but they obviously can't afford to throw 16m our way so he'll just run his contract down and move over there to finally play for them again. Seems like a humble guy who just wants to live out his dream.
