    January transfer window

The league is generally poor but he stands out by a mile as having that bit more about him to be able to step up. He may not be as quick as Jordan Willis may be but he's not exactly slow and there are plenty of central defenders in league one and the championship he is most likely quicker over...

    Rod mcdonald

I fear bids for Rod Mcdonald more than keeping hold of Jordan Willis. If we continue to keep clean sheets then scouts from L1 and championship clubs will soon be in attendance weekly come November December time especially with JJ earning rave reviews weekly. We may even get bids for Lee...

I agree, I'm not concerned that nazon will miss the Barnet game. Biamou and McNulty for me will be just fine. McNulty has shown he's quite intelligent in his positioning and will feed off Biamou nicely who is growing in confidence.

    January transfer window

Brace yourselves for bids for Rod Mcdonald. He's been too good for league two in his 8 games so far. Excellent attitude, 100% given each week and never lets the team down. Signing of the summer.

    Crewe: Player Ratings

Burge - 6 Steady with little to do, a few bizarre moments tho and went for a wonder in the first half. Grimmer - 6 A fair game, does the job well confident and vocal. Stokes - 6 Another steady display, tho shocking attempt on goal McDonald - 8 Nothing gets by him and rarely puts a foot...

    Willis - ball watching.

Willis did well today for sure, handled Chris Porter well but Crewe created little to trouble him with crosses in to test. Did everything asked of him so for that credit is due.

    If it is true....

Stevenson I'd be keeping hold of for a while till his value rises again as surely at the minute it's lower than what it should be as he's had injury troubles this whole calendar year. Haynes I'd keep as he will play a part possibly in a more advanced role as the season goes on as he has the...

If all players are fit like stokes then I see no reason to change anything. ---------------Burge---------------- Grimmer--Willis--McDonald--Stokes ---DeKE---Doyle(c)---Kelly----JJ--- ---------Biamou----Nazon---------- I'm hopeful of a win but got that niggling feeling that this won't be...

    Willis - ball watching.

I agree, I think we may well see Mcdonald and Davies paired together when we go into the winter months when some teams go more route one like the Cambridge's of the league do. Willis is a good useful player, he's quick strong in the tackle but anything in the air against strong powerful...

    Willis - ball watching.

100% agree on the Cambridge goal where Ibehre escorted him out of the yard of space to easily but the Swindon I'm a little more forgiving given the deflection from McDonald. Ive said before i don't think Willis attributes are best suited to L2 at times and the physical target men he may face...

Match Thread Coventry City - Crewe Alexandra Match Thread - Saturday 30th Sep

Just been looking at our previous meetings and our forms a bit sketchy against Crewe at home in recent times. We've only beaten Crewe once at the Ricoh winning our last home meeting 3-2 but before that we went 5 games unable to beat them drawing 2 and losing 3 in league and cup games. Prior to...

    Barnet

I think it being a lunchtime game and the fact it's on Sky may keep a few away. It has for me, saving the funds for Accrington.

Agree with few here this has the potential to be a banana skin like the Newport was. Expectations are naturally getting higher again but this is L2. But we have to be hopeful of another home win. I'd keep Biamou in, I feel he's close to getting that important goal and a huge injection of...

    January transfer window

I think it's far to early to call for what we need in January, we've another 15 league games to go and various cup games before the window opens. Plenty can go right or wrong in that time like long term injuries to key players that will need replacing to keep the balance and strength of the...

A huge win tonight, and back to back wins again. This must give the side a massive boost in confidence and this needs to be put to disposing of Crewe on Saturday. A big test of character and the team delivered. Sounded like there was some excellent individual performances and as a side...
