I accept that. My comment referred more to whether he would go in this window, with still around 1.5 years on his contract. O'Hare is with Wasserman agents I believe, I would be very surprised if they advised him to sign an extra 1 year contract if there was imminent interest in him.

Why would O'Hare sign an extended contract to make us more money? If he was on his way why would he want his new club to pay a bigger transfer fee, that's assuming that a player with a 2.5 year contract is worth more than one with a 1.5 year contract, which I doubt.

Wasn't Jodi isolating before Christmas due to contact with the U23s? He was on the bench against Millwall so had finished his isolation, and came on for a few minutes, but has hardly played or even possibly trained much in recent weeks. Others are in the same position, but may have been in MR's...

Stating the obvious, you need someone who can get goals this season. Your top scorer has 4, and a strike rate of 0.18 goals per 90. Your whole squad has only scored double what Godden has got this season. Try and find a goalscorer with a Championship record of 8 in 16 games or 0.7 goals per 90...

It gives us next year to have a shot at promotion, (assuming we don't go up this year) and still leaves some time on his contract.

There's no doubt that Godden is a good finisher, not in my mind anyway, and I think in normal times he would even now be worth more than we paid for him to a top L1 side or a lower to mid table championship side that play the type of football that would suit him. The fact is there is no money...

I think this season will be like last season, 44 / 45 points enough to stay up, especially with Derby needing 34/35 points from 22 games to reach that. That means 11 points will see us safe, from 23 games.

I'm confident we will see at least one new face this January, irrespective of comments coming out of the club about lack of finances. The question is then, will it make a difference.
