We were parked in the B&B Hotel car park. I thought as we were quite far away we'd have a quick getaway. Nope, took 45 minutes just to get on the road and that is even after the 20 minute walk back to the car in the first place.
It's been obvious for a couple of seasons that we need a decent left back, on par with the quality of MvE on the right. Bidwell and JDS are "play every now and then when you don't have any other choice" kind of players.
In the "old" days that what the Central League (reserve team) was for. You'd see quite a few big name players playing in the reserves at HR getting back to fitness. We've done it before. Remember seeing Hamer at the Higgs after his four match ban.
Nine wins in eleven still sounds great. Forget this game now and move on to a tough challenge on Saturday.
Still think it'll be us and WBA in the play offs. We're better than Bristol City and Middlesbrough.
Totally agree, Otis.
He touch was poor, lost the ball easily and was frustrating to watch, but he's been out for 16 weeks. Need to cut him a little slack.
Reflections.
Easy journey, easy to park. Went downhill after that.
Started poorly and never really clicked all night. Had a ton of possession but nothing with it.
Poor game from Grimes, which set the tone really. Off night for most of the rest. Only Saka, EMC and MvE were decent for me...
No one will argue with that. Problem is, that's where he spends a third of every season.
Edit: He's played in 52% of our games this season. Unacceptable.
Pretty much agree with that.
Birdwell shocking.
We were never going to win every game but a pretty disappointing performance.
Still in a Derby MacDonalds. At least that's OK.
