Match Thread Coventry City - Sheffield Wednesday [FA] Match Thread - Tuesday 6th Feb

it looked worse live for me - but he has clearly left one on Allen intentionally

Match Thread Coventry City - Sheffield Wednesday [FA] Match Thread - Tuesday 6th Feb

exactly this...i've said on here before that most of the time its fans fault for arriving late... last night wasnt There were issues with the paper tickets not getting scanned on some of the turnstiles. the stewards last night we're appalling (not the security check ones), there were loads of...

Match Thread Coventry City - Sheffield Wednesday [FA] Match Thread - Tuesday 6th Feb

would be good to use this game to work out how best to cover Sheaf missing for a few weeks, and i'd also like to mix up the front 4 a bit, bar Sakamoto i've been disappointed in all of them recently and its clearly where the problem lies. Maybe try Wright as the actual striker, Da Silva could...

Match Thread Norwich City - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 3rd Feb

Its almost irrelevant how well we are playing and how shit Norwich are playing, we never seem to beat them, just checked 2009 last time! 2.1 loss but season well on track still

    Simms

Im certainly not writing him off, he's had the least minutes of the strikers and more broken runs of games as well. For me he is a better option than Godden, who has barely even got on the ball the last few times he's played. He occupies at least 2 defenders at all times and it looks as though...

    O’Hare to L*cester

You missed Sheaf, for me he would be the biggest loss in the team right now, closely followed by Kitching/Thomas too, Wright also stakes a claim, its refreshing we're not reliant on 2 players any more!

Match Thread Sheffield Wednesday - Coventry City [FA] Match Thread - Friday 26th Jan

been on the winning team and celebrated I think the club would rather KP didnt play, but i think KP will want to play and the club will back whatever he wants, so i think we will see him tonight, and i cant see a significant amount of boos coming his way so think we'll get through the game ok...

    O’Hare to L*cester

The only teams i can see taking a punt on him and paying a fee in Jan are those fighting to stay up in the Prem. Everyone else will hold on till he's free in the summer I imagine, dont think he makes a difference to the auto promotion contenders at this stage

    Do we even miss Hamer?

i have no doubt we'd have more points if Hamer was still with us...so its quite an easy "yes - of course we miss him"

    Captain Sheaf

if we dont go up this year, i think we will have some decent offers coming in for Sheaf and he will be very hard to replace. 2 years left on contract which is good, but he is high up the list for players we are "likely" to lose

Showing support for Palmer on Friday

ignore him mate - if it was the other way round I would feel exactly the same urge to apologise even though you personally have absolutely nothing to apologise for. I just hope nothing escalates and ends up worst on Friday, although i imagine its highly unlikely it will.

    Victor Torp

agree - although i feel Sheaf is pretty hard done by as well by fans and isnt put on a pedestal as much as he should be. Sheaf last season was playing next to the best MF in the league and his job was easier, this year he has really stepped up. Eccles also stepped up very well but do think he...

    Callum contract offer

we need to realise that when a player says they "love it here" they mean a very different thing to what us fans feel, unless the player is an actual Cov fan. Yes O'Hare will enjoy playing here, of course he will, he and us have been successful, but that means nothing at all if he gets offered a...

i absolutely agree, most if not all know its now busier, but a huge proportion still rock up at 2.50 anyway turn up at 2.30 and you'll be in the ground with a beer in your hand by 2.45 every time

its more the amount of people moving along it i suppose than the size of it. with more people going in other turnstiles and then having to walk along, the bar staff being painfully slow generating big queues, the ongoing saga with toilet queues and using people using exits and as Shmee said...

i'm putting 80% of the turnstile problem down to the fans to be fair. Fans have got used to having a half full ground and rocking up 10 minutes before kick off and walking straight to their seat. Agree the security is slow and queuing system could be slightly better, but hard now they've...

Match Thread Coventry City - Leicester City Match Thread - Saturday 13th Jan

Think we've got a goal in us Dewsbury-Hall was the only difference in the first game, he stepped it up last half hour or so and we didnt cope. If we can manage the game more like we did at Leeds we have a chance. head - 2.1 loss again, Heart 2.1 win, would take a draw
