    Blackburn scores on the doors

Watched the sky highlights - weird...as we looked massively on top, and only 1 blackburn goal was shown https://www.skysports.com/football/blackburn-rovers-vs-coventry-city/447470

Derby County - brings back nightmare times

Interesting points by OSB58 & Frostie, but surely Mel won't re-purchase Derby...i mean, he's lost tons of his personal wealth already, and he's not 'uber' wealthy. Also the fans do seem to have turned against him, with his 'blame everyone else' approach.

    Item Would you be happy?

No. He uses football clubs as vehicles to sell his trashy low quality brands eg Newcastle and Rangers. He wouldn't have ccfc at heart, it's all about pleasing his investors and shareholders (sound familiar ?) Fortunately, i think we're too small fry for his massive ego.

I think the point being made is that it's not possible to be offside in your own half.

We’re not going up are we?

Even after this drubbing, i suspect our old buddie 'Barnsley' would swap his club's position with ours...and if we think back to last season, that tells you how far we have come.

I stand corrected...seems the father owned the original bookies, which she took over and used as collateral to start up bet365. The main point still stands though...surely they can wipe out Stoke's debts 10,000 times over, and it wouldn't even touch their vast fortune.

Surely though the Coates family, who own Stoke and Bet365, can just invest some capital there and clear any trifling financial problems ? In 2020, Denise Coates, the chairman & daughter of the founder, received a combined payout of £466 million quid (salary £422m + dividends £45m) !

Rooney is Derby's version of our Terry Butcher period....crazy salary for a player/manager...both retired after 1 season, but kept their massive salaries...and chairmen who were massively overambitious and maybe even reckless.

I don't blame Wycombe for their promotion...after all the 'calculation' wasn't decided on by them, and i'm sure they'd agree they were probably fortunate....they also may argue, that the fixture against us wasn't the foregone conclusion most Cov fans seem to think it was. So, you don't care for...

And so, as we thought at the end of last season, Wycombe owner, Robert Couhig, is again considering suing Derby, saying that Mel Morris must have known last season, the dire state of Derby's finances, and deliberately fought the case to keep the Championship money coming in this season. I have a...
