He does care though, as did Vic, but it is more on a human level than a professional one for sure. I imagine there will have been some emotional goodbyes.
Not sure I understand why so many are predicting that we'll go long tomorrow. There is nothing to suggest this is the case, the summer recruitment and pre-season games do not point to this at all.
We got the ball forward quickly against Leicester, but I think that was more about the opposition...
No, £10m is the fee, that would be guaranteed, but you'd never get that up front, it would be phased. Add ons are add ons, you may never receive those.
I'm only repeating what I've seen on twitter, think it may have originated from Stuart Linnell.
It's not a computer game. You don't replace somebody as influential as this easily. It will take us a good while to adjust and who knows, the replacement(s) may not work out, wouldn't be the first time.
Hopefully we get ourselves over the line tomorrow and can stay in touch, but things have...
I think we'll struggle for a few more weeks yet potentially, we look seriously undercooked and we have some tough games. It'll all come together, but hopefully sooner rather than later and not playing catch-up.
Not true. Cat A average gate fell last season and was only dragged up by the Blues game otherwise would have been a big fall on previous season. Prices last year went from £30 to £34. Another hike to £37 and it will have an impact for sure.
The two biggest gates last season before the final...
Plenty of ST holders saying £37 is fine, and when people object, the standard retort is 'buy a ST then'. Not everyone can of course.
Of course there should be an incentive for buying a ST, but the pro-rata price difference is too much I feel.
Personally I would have been happier if they had...
We all had etickets for the play off game iirc, so won't be an issue.
Dhillons open at 8am, so plenty of time for a beer or two.
Edit, no they were loaded onto card. Still, should be fine.
Clearly we are in total attendances, it's great to see. But we were talking about matchday sales. These fall as ST sales rise. Last season the season average was up by about 800, but we'd sold 2.5K more season tickets than previous season. This season we've sold 4.5K more again, so expect...
I think we sold about 1750 for one midweek game last season excluding away fans, but how many of that number now have season tickets? I agree 500 is a bit of a stretch, but it's fair to say matchday sales will be down on last season notably, just as they were last season on the season before.
There is still a fair sized pool.of casual supporters to draw from, and it was a real opportunity to really pack the place out this season, but I feel they have got carried away with the pricing, possibly driven by the the sell outs at the end of last season, but they were once in a generation...
No sure they would tbf, I think they were likely banking on more given the ST base. As some of the non season ticket holders on here have stated, the higher pricing will mean they do fewer games.
The £37 is just too much, especially as there is no family option.
He isn't knocking season holders. He is simply saying that ST holders paying £17 per game (less in family zone) shouldn't be egging the club on to milk non ST holders simply because they are exiled or work weekends and can't make every game.
Anyway, all that will happen is that these people...
Yes it is. The only clubs where the cheapest available adult seats are more than £37 for any game, regardless of category, are Leeds and Sheffield Weds. We are very expensive compared to the rest of the division.
Totally agree. People have somehow convinced themselves this price is ok (comparisons with concerts are just facile). It's a disgrace. Guarantee people will moan when Leeds charge us the same as that is their policy. They only charged Cardiff £21 as the reciprocal price.
There will be boycotts...
We were only one of 3 or 4 teams to sell out there all last season.
We'll sell out again this season, probably before general sale.
The fact there isn't a huge scrum for this one is not really a reason not to use the points system. It's condensed into 2 days anyway, so not really an issue.
