    Massive Screen

They still use it for that? Not mocking, honestly arrive in my seat just before ko and spend half time downstairs so wouldn’t know if that’s the case. During the game is what I meant, like they used to do. It’s still wasted imo.

    Massive Screen

Frustratingly, we don’t use the existing screen other than to replicate the old Highfield Road scoreboard to highlight the score, which is such a waste (oh sorry, and substitutions/sponsored corners). I hope this doesn’t remain the case when the new screen goes live as it’s great to view...

Utterly embarrassing from their number 11. One intention there, to get JCH sent off. As soon as he had the refs attention, up he went with fuck all wrong with him. Referee has been shite.

Clarke-Harris is having a brilliant first half.

Strongest bench I can remember us having in a hell of a long time. Last chance for Sterling today before he’s bombed I reckon.

Oh ffs. What the hell is that all about?! Let’s bring on a defensive rookie at 3-1 down away from home, against one of the poorest sides in the division. Has he thrown in the towel already?

    Ogogo

Great options and depth in the middle of the park, something we haven’t had for a long, long time. Kelly, Doyle, Bayliss (who I must say is getting back to form since he’s been playing in the middle), Ogogo, with Westbrooke coming through are always going to make us competitive at this level.

    Willis and Burge .

Both played very well today. A clean sheet against Barnsley at this level is no mean feat.

    Hyam

Old fashioned centre half. Does the basic things so well. Class act who will go far, hopefully with us!!

Match Thread Coventry City vs Barnsley Match Thread - Saturday 15th Sep

That Brummy cretin ‘Nick’ has just been on the phone-in. Finally been to a game. His conclusion; Lee Burge is one of the best goalkeepers ever to play for the club. Played well today but what a ridiculous comment.

There were so many niggly fouls, disrupted the game a hell of a lot. I’m not saying we were whiter than white but for that tosser to say ‘they were kicked from pillar to post’ is laughable.

Is a new Goalkeeper a priority

Agree. Both aren’t good enough for this level and I’m baffled as to why we haven’t gone out and prioritised a number one. Despite Burge’s positive moments today, he could’ve cost us dearly. ‘That’s what you get in League 1’ doesn’t cut it for me. There’s better out there. 2 howlers from O’Brien...

God he’s an annoying, fat, over-rated, Scouse wanker isn’t he?! One of the dirtiest sides I’ve seen us play for a long while.

Agree with Chaplin, Brown and Shipley, real positives today. But Burge excellent? More erratic imo. In no-man’s land for 2 corners. Got away with it once, cost us a goal on the second occasion. Granted he made a vital save at 0-0, but shocking positioning for the aforementioned incidents.

Header 6 yards out or was that someone else? Looked like JCH to me but I was in block 14 at the other end of the pitch.

Burge 6 - did nothing wrong, kicking appears to have improved Grimmer 7 - really frustrating half from him. Shot when he should’ve crossed and crossed when he should’ve shot. That being said, he was getting into great positions and was a real threat going forward. Glad he’s back in the team...

Away Games with Leamington/Warwick Supporters Club

Went to Lincoln away with the boys last year and was one of the best away days I’ve done in years. Juggy was a superb host, quiz on board the mini bus and random stop-off on the way back! Looking to do another one or 2 this season. Great set of lads!
