Match Thread Coventry City - Luton Town [LC] Match Thread - Tuesday 12th Aug

If Simms really doesn’t make an appearance then there has to be mileage in this extra money to Everton rumour.

I do think that the new digital tickets mean people can/ will download their tickets as late as they dare if there are plenty still on sale. This allows for a lot of last minute decisions.

£5.20 each for that bus back into town last week.

I was replying to how many were at the Spurs match last year. 😀

    CBS Train station

That line only runs one diesel train with minimal capacity. Most of the time in the week it’s fairly empty. Bet if it served London or its suburbs in some way though there would be money spent to make it fit for purpose .

Match Thread Coventry City - Luton Town [LC] Match Thread - Tuesday 12th Aug

I’m all for playing a strong team for cups. After all, we only actually enter 3/4 competitions all season. Do we even enter the lower league jobby thingy these days ? Surely we see it as an opportunity to draw a big team in the next round £££ Luton will fancy it, so if we are complacent then...

    Observations from today

If you don’t put the ball in the opponent’s net you can’t win. 12.30 kick offs are still shit. Cov City are always about the NEXT window. Nobody is safe from instant assassination in football, you do or die. We’re all hopelessly addicted though.

    Mr Glass

Really feel for him, he obviously doesn’t want this constant hindrance. When he was good he was dynamic but the injuries have taken their toll and he looks like a guy always skating on thin ice now.

    Let’s be Frank.

It is just one game this season and we didn’t lose but it doesn’t hurt to pose questions?! I think mistakes were made. 21/22 days to the end of the window?!

    Brau

Da Silva was ok today to be fair but Saka was possibly our best player along with Rudi. On the note of overhit crosses though, who is it that we find trying to compete for them on both sides ….oh yes those two teeny tots at 5ft 6” or whatever they are 🤦‍♂️

Apologies but the point still stands. We must have committed a few quid to a 4 year contract though.

KKH was £3.5 m on his own , I assume MAB was something like £2.5m ?🤷‍♂️

    Striker

So we start with BTA. We bring off EMC just when he was looking more dangerous . We bring off our only midfielder who can hit a free kick. We bring on a midfielder who could get injured by a strong wind. We bring on an unfit striker and leave one off that at least scored a header against...

Match Thread Coventry City - Hull City Match Thread - Saturday 9th Aug

There is an absolute obsession with having to score from crosses, seen that with England too. Unless you have a young Shearer, Dublin or Speedie type character to win the headers then its flawed….It does help if you can cross the fucking thing towards a blue shirt though.

Frank obviously doesn’t rate Simms if he’s putting that clown BTA in front of him. None good enough for me though and Haji is a mile off too. Never mind all that money on that centre back, he didn’t look amazing. STRIKER !!!!
