    Dujon Sterling back possibly?

Sounds like we are hopeful of getting this done in time for him to be involved tomorrow (although I'm sure that was the case last weekend also!) https://www.coventrytelegraph.net/sport/football/transfer-news/coventry-city-transfers-jake-clarkesalter-21301542.amp?__twitter_impression=true

So does the whole Clarke-Salter deal now look unlikely now?

Bet it will be this. They always protect their interest.

On reflection and having heard Robins aftermatch interview (which I agreed with every word) - last night could be a blessing in disguise. Hopefully might serve as a reminder to the owners that he does need a little more backing before the end of the window.

Certainly sounded like Robins was losing his patience with it. Was JCS in attendance last night?

    Out the door

First half an hour Allen was the best player on the pitch by a distance. Lovely disguised pass for Shipley when he blazed over the bar. Wasn't really involved after that though.

Agree with all of this. Said on another thread Bright did ok I think. He's getting his fitness up and won't be as explosive as he is capable of but retained the ball quite well and generally I thought worked quite hard. Bit harsh saying he didn't want to be on the pitch.

Thought Bright did alright tonight actually. Not so much in the final third but he held the ball infinitely better tham the others.

Jones was understandably tentative to take his man on but he was the only one who showed some movement and bravery to get on the ball. I know no one has had a full pre-season and he is young but I was disappointed with Reid.

One year deal. Puts him in the shop window. Be sold in January I reckon.

Should we expect Clarke-Salter at Ryton today?

Think we then need to think about getting players out next. Hopeful if Drysdale and Pask are offloaded on loan and maybe Allen that might allow us to bring someone else in.

After Clarke-Salter I had hoped the other loan would be a central midfielder. Disappointing that Reid isn't considered even 2nd choice left wing back.

Rose and Jones were two huge plus points for me. You almost forget how good Rose is as he struggled to get to fitness last season. Personally also think Gyökeres will hit double figures for us.

Know anything about the other possible loan signing @Skybluebeliever other than JCS. Is there one specific target we are after?

Didn't think DaCosta was as bad as some have made out. He wasn't great by any stretch but 1st half I honestly don't think anyone was. We improved when he went off but that was because we had a settled back 3 with Rose back in - Rose btw played very well. DaCosta's foul throw was ridiculous...
