Like I said I'm not suggesting he is performing well but he does stretch the defence with his pace and physicality and that is creating space for others
I wasn't suggesting he is a massive goal threat currently but he isn't hiding and he is doing the role that he is being asked by Robin's .
I don't see anyone else with his physical attributes who can do what he is doing with the squad
I like to watch a player's body language. Earlier in the season when things weren't happening for Wright you could see his body language was poor at times . Simms is having a worse time than Wright was but still chases down , harries and puts himself about . While he is doing that I would stick...
And I wholeheartedly disagree with that , even last season when Bidwell was getting criticism I was one of his biggest supporters.
Fact still stands though we need decent cover in all positions
Don't we? Most of last season's arguments was too many loanees . Even this season there is a clamour for another forward . We need a competitive squad ,that can only be good moving forward
My only worry would be that Wright moves central and Godden comes in left side . Like I said it's been Simms ability to stretch the back line that's been beneficial to the team of late and Godden just can't do that . I do however fully understand that a number nine needs to get himself amongst...
Da Silva didn't do too badly when he came on . Nice to have decent back ups in both full back roles for once but I would stick with Bidwell for the foreseeable future
I get why Allen gets a lot of plaudits from Robins and fans alike but against a big physical midfield like last night he got bullied too easily at times . Would start Eccles over him against Leeds
It's such a shame that they can't be magnanimous and admit they've made a mistake. He really does look like a player that needs to be valued and loved in my opinion
I honestly can't see how Godden improves us in this system. Simms isn't scoring but he occupies the centre backs and stretches them , he creates a lot of the space that O'Hare ,Wright and Sakamoto have been utilising so well the last two games . I would worry that we become flat and turgid with...
I think he's always going to look a bit awkward and gangly legged but last night his work rate was terrific , he won a lot more aerial duels and he is visibly gaining in confidence. Loved him blowing a kiss to the Southampton fans as well
So you find him lazy cause of where he positions himself from goal kicks ?
What about the numerous times last night he sprinted back to cover Bidwell , was that a fluke ?
