Remember when Rootes used to dump loads of stuff in the quarry? Some of the kit that me and my cousin retrieved was beyond belief.

He could've ski'd down there past the old quarry. That hill was a bstrd to cycle up though. Did it thousands of times.

No, left in the late seventies when I got wed to my first dragon, and bought a house in Southam. Still have lots of relatives there though, if you count St Nicholas churchyard.

Used to ride my motorcycle down Frankton Lane morning and night on my commute, then over Knob Hill, picking up my Motorcycle News at the newsagents in the centre of Stretton on a Wednesday morning. One of my uncles and his new wife moved to Wolston in the fifties (Warwick Rd). Their daughter, my...

Yes, Heinz was at Birdingbury Camp (called Birdingbury for some strange reason, but was in Frankton parish on the edge of Dunsmore going down from Frankton village towards Birdingbury Station - which was ALSO in Frankton parish. Bonkers). It was, as you say, a POW camp during the war, and then a...

Ah, ok. Cheers. Didn't realise there was one there too. My dad was at Birdingbury Camp not far away for a while just post-war. Heinz Kittendorf was our milkman too! Oh, and my grandmother was born on School Lane in 1901 and lived there until she married.

We had one just like that (the dolly - nan used it, but didn't look like that). It was eventually replaced with a Rolls Rapide twin-tub. Luxury!

Just had a sort through the box of old photos as I thought I'd seen this the other day. Only photo we have of the old Beeza. Must be about '56 I reckon. Me in the chair, and those are the backs of houses on Hall Green Road. The Green Man (now gone, sadly) just out of picture to the left. Can't...

Oh, trust me, the Richmond 'meat' (Ear, Nose, & Throat more like) ones are no better!

We had an ex-RAC BSA M21 sidevalve single pulling a single seat sidecar. Dad used to joke that it fired at every third lamppost. No horsepower to speak of, but it would climb anything. On my first holiday, to Brixham, I vividly remember being zipped under the tonneau cover (it didn't have a roof...

Yes, all of those, but we only got a tiddly little bottle of milk. You must've gone to a very posh school if they gave you two pints a day! We had about enough to wet your whistle - and regular visits from the nit nurse, at Longford Park Primary.

    Any vegans ?

Based on this, my missus bought a pack of Richmond ones yesterday and we tried them last night. I have to say I didn’t like them, and they certainly didn't taste like meat sausages to me. A somewhat strange taste and texture, I thought. Just my opinion though, and if they hit the spot for you...

    Wasps downward spiral...

With assertions like that, I reckon maybe he should be committed. I wonder if his local expertise extends to knowing what Hatton Country World and Shopping Village was originally, or if he thinks it was built for people to sell green wellies and fake horse brasses from?
