Well I'll take that to the bank. Luton now a distant memory. International break now and a good rest.

Didn't see that coming. It's what we needed.

Match Thread Fulham Match Thread - Sat 2nd Oct

Neither side threatened much tbh. Apart from Mc.Fazdean's bizarre headed own goal, each side has pretty much nullified each other. It's a tight competitive game, but if we are to get something from it, we must raise the tempo more. Jamie Allen may be useful to do that at some point. Sheaf get's...

Match Thread Fulham Match Thread - Sat 2nd Oct

I think we must be careful not to over estimate Fulham. yes lets show some respect but just play our game. It will cause them plenty of problems. So we were atrocious at Luton, but it happens. It either acts as a wake up call or we fall away. Somehow from what I've seen of these players it was...

Match Thread Luton (A) Wed 29th Sep. 19.45 ko

I said they didn't have to work too hard. Clues in the words. And they didn't...it was all too easy for them.

Match Thread Luton (A) Wed 29th Sep. 19.45 ko

I would add Luton did not have to work too hard for their 5 goal victory either. They took the opportunity and good for them, but it was a night we just were atrocious in every department. I don't expect a fall from grace, even if we lose Saturday. I still expect we will be back to winning ways...

Match Thread Luton (A) Wed 29th Sep. 19.45 ko

In fairness everything Luton touched fell right for them, and everything we touched just wasn't clicking. games like that happen. The goals were mostly preventable on another day. We looked a little jaded tbh. But that is perhaps to excuse them a bit too much. We just never created much at all...

Match Thread Luton (A) Wed 29th Sep. 19.45 ko

Tougher than it might suggest. Look closely at Luton's results and who they have played. When beaten it has been an odd goal and the match could have gone either way. They have had good wins too. Could easily be on more points, so caution here. We are brimming with confidence though and...

    Being realistic

With such a good start it would be disappointing to end up mid table tbf. I expect our form to take a knock here and there (and there are games coming up that look difficult) but still expect to continue the upward spiral and a top 6 finish very likely.

    Waghorn

I'm not seeing it myself. Think he is a bit of a carthorse tbh. Does not score goals often, and watching him you can see why. I think it's all about tactics for Robin's. It may be a bit harsh but I would prefer Godden any day over him.

Match Thread Peterborough (H) Fri 24th Sept 7.45 ko

Everyone a lot to say about this performance and while not wishing dampen the mood, the first half we a little 'off' our game. passes were not coming off, the Posh had good possession and we started to look like a long night might be ahead. If you listen to MR after match interview he says much...

Really? There was acres of space down that side all night. Dabo would have had a field day!

Match Thread Peterborough (H) Fri 24th Sept 7.45 ko

Got to be a home win, but I caution you football rarely goes with the norm.. It could be a narrow loss or another draw. I'm hoping for that coming together and we hit the old five. The Posh finally got their act together the other day, so confidence will be restored for them. We must tackle the...

    Bright and Robins

You are right, my mistake. But Jones will have a pivotal role to play before this season ends. He is not lacking in talent.

He was. That's not to say he won't improve. He was out of position several times, Hyam saving his ass at least twice. Way too early to judge him, just talking about today.

I said jones will be Pivotal. I said Bright will make a difference when he is ready this season. Come on now, read the full paragraph before you jump.
