Of course it will play a part- if you have no ‘brand loyalty’, obviously price comes into it. I’m not saying that we’re going to hoover up thousands of new fans but to say price has no part to play is not right.

You miss the point- there are loads of people who’ve relocated to the area, and there are loads who might not have a team but want to see a match. And if that’s case then price becomes a big factor.

Like I said, my feeling- might be totally wrong- is that all bets are off, this window is too strange and difficult- we aren’t thinking about the future right now, we’re just thinking “get through the season without being relegated, we’ll worry about the rest later”. Which is understandable...

Yes that is a good point. Perhaps right now we’ve decided that we can’t afford to be thinking about the future and are only focusing on getting through the season and remaining in the Championship. I think we have enough to do that but it’s not going to be easy by any means

And you’re bang on too. I just don’t get how it’s not obvious that we aren’t doing badly compared to most other teams, there’s no need to be panicking. If the clubs we’re expecting to be in & around us had signed multiple quality players then fair enough, but they haven’t- hardly anyone has.
