    COV RFC 2022 - 2023

It's a nice little ground with a very decent clubhouse. Parking very limited, so walk if you can.

Just to be pedantic, Darlington RFC play a couple of miles away. It's Mowden Park that play at the NE Arena. If you'd ever been there you'd know why their average gate is in three figures. It's the coldest place on earth. I think my left testicle is still frozen to one of the seats there.

Not tried the Stella yet. Bit blinkered I guess, but the alco version has, er, connotations. Picked up a few cans of Northern Monk Holy Faith at Morrisons yesterday. It'll be interesting to see how it compares to Faith full strength.

Absolutely. Might need to blag a few months at the CBA while the Butts is built out with the planned apartments, hotel, extra seating and terraces, but yes, that'd suit me nicely!

Oi. Wasps maybe. I've been to Twickenham three times (many many years ago, never again) and I'm an ex dirty stinky milling machine operator, so you can fuck right off with the rest of that. Nicely, of course.

The Erdinger is very passable. If he likes a weiss tell him to try the Franziskaner. However (and these are not very widely available, sadly) he really has to try Brooklyn's Special Effects hoppy lager, and Beavertown Lazer Crush IPA. Both amazingly good.

Mind you - I'm starting to learn which alcohol-free beers are worth supping, and which are shite. (The latter, mostly, but there are a few really good ones).

Yes, I know about all those, and yes there are some bigger names, but also some 'squad' men too. Most sides lose players, even Genge at Leicester, and Koch at Sarries - top end clubs and players. Wasps will still have an impressive pack overall. (Did I really have to emphasise the word 'all'?).

I'm going solar. I'll qualify that: my garden shed is going solar. I'm just about to shell out a small country's gdp on uprating my moho's solar 12v system, and the old 150w panel, charge controller, and agm battery will end up powering the shed. Free electrickery. Sort of. And on that subject...

They really haven't released all their top players. They still have an impressive pack with the likes of the Willis brothers, Barbeary and others, and new tight-five signings Koch and Ryan will both be on top dollar. How they intend to pay them though is another matter.
