feel pretty sorry for Mason, will be hard for him. But from his point of view I guess at least he has a guaranteed wage while he recovers.

    Forest

If that, I think just about 1,000 Not necessarily shocked though, TV & price will have put a really big dent in things. If you're looking to get 20k home fans for any cov match this season then you're talking about attracting maybe about 6k 'more casual' supporters- and its on TV, and big cost.

    Jake Clarke-Salter

In the case of Clarke-Salter he's here on loan for one season, I doubt he's as invested as us or MR- he's here for minutes and to further his career. Not saying he couldn't give a crap but his main driver is a bit different

I dunno, I just had a look and as I'm off work I had a closer look- I can't see any way there are more than 12k sold plus away fans behind the goal- can't be any more than 1,000 sold from 6,000

I know what you're getting at, but wouldn't completely agree- I'd say our realistic ambition this season is mid-table, and thats pretty average. I'm not saying we need to plan to finish 21st, but middle of the league would be progress, surely?

Chris Whyte looked really good in the one game he had for us, Blackburn wasn't it? We thrashed them 5-0. Don't know if he was on loan or what the story was there

    Jake Clarke-Salter

lol- before he came in people were pretty positive, now he's here there are concerns.. Hard to know until we've seen him play, its not one to get the blood pumping but good to have someone in that position. I saw one comment about Blues fans calling him "average". Isn't that kind of our...

    Starting X1 v Forest

nobody really mentions Forest, have they done no business at all this summer? Think they were hit with covid the same as us as well. I like Hughton though, can’t imagine he’s coasting along, it will still be tough.. but we should win I think

Plus we've invested in him now, I don't know if he's one of our more highly paid players but we aren't exactly dripping in cash, that wage could have gone elsewhere if he's not interested.

I've always quite admired him for never caving on price- will be interesting to see how this one pans out.

I think thats what Man City have bid, £100m (for Grealish). Over a quarter of a billion on two players, plus wages- going rate maybe but it seems unreal

I think with Whelan though there was also a willingness- he knew he kept getting dragged into drunken scrapes & trouble, and was happy to get that help from Strachan. With Bright- and I hope I'm wrong- there doesn't seem to be any desire to sort himself out. I guess we'll see soon enough, it...

I actually haven't seen what kind of money they're talking about for Kane- if they've bid £100m for Grealish then whats Kane- £120m?
