I dont think we need a replacement. As alluded to we are playing differently this year. Let's face it midfielders who do the double dont grow on trees . It's a whole different set up and game this year.

True we played box midfield last year one up front. Completely different this year so far. Palmer and Ohare will need to up their game in terms of goals.

What is really needed is a midfielder that can score goals. There is a massive hole there. Sheaf/eccless/Kelly wont score many. Even our attacking midfielders Palmer/o hare are not prolific...allen is ok ish. We need a goal scoring midfielder ( wont come cheap).

I think we need just one quality CM addition. 2 would be a waste of money. when Allen is back (hes a big utility midfielder for us) he give us alot of depth. We are still short at centre back.

Let's just not bring in players for the sake of it. They need to be better than what we got. That's all I'm saying. We have some money to spend now let's push the boat out. A statement signing. Plus one or 2 for squad depth. We have shown we dont need to shop in Primark.

Is he better than what we got? Eccles has been superb and better than last season so far. For me I'd be looking at players that are better than what we got. Theres a reason hes £2M. I'd be looking at next level above £5M plus player. And I'm not saying this lad isnt good.
