And we don’t play in “Skyblue & white” as per Viktor’s song. FFS, it’s a football song which helped generate a modicum of atmosphere yesterday Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Transfer Rumour Luke McNally

The longer contracts are not for spreading the transfer fee, as the fee is payable at whatever time the contract says. They are an accounting ruse to improve profitability and therefore help with FFP rules. A player bought for £45m on a 3 year contract would be written off (amortised) at £15m...

Assuming you mean SISU get 15%? It doesn’t work like that. All the revenue would go to the club, not handed out in proportion to the shareholders [emoji849] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Agreed, and takes 30 seconds to check. Makes me laugh when someone who clearly doesn’t know what they’re talking about is so adamant. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    New shares issued.

So where do you think the money has come from? It looks like he has injected cash, for which he has been given shares, and the shares have been swapped for debt. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    New shares issued.

It looks like the cash for the 33m in shares will be used to pay off 33m of debt, so the debt is no longer a liability on the balance sheet. So no, it won’t crop up again in 5 years. Debts/loans in theory need to be repaid, shares do not. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Reading Away (4k - our 'Big Day Out' !!)

Bristol isn’t local to Reading [emoji23]. Bristol -Reading is about 80 miles, marginally less than Coventry-Reading (85) so I’m not sure the local logic works! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Has London Bridge fallen ?

The £8m figure is obviously complete bollocks, that won’t even pay for the cleanup of the flowers littering the parks. Police, armed forces, councils, transport, catering, cleaning, stewards, facilities and much else will need to be paid for, they are not going to be doing this as a charitable...

    The Minutes Silence

Anyway, glad it didn’t happen. Cancelling games last weekend, silences & anthems on Wednesday and then again today are more than enough. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Match Thread ⚽️ Coventry City vs West Bromwich Albion Match Thread - Saturday 10th Sep

The EFL statement is slightly promising, and they will be desperate to limit the damage and cancel as few “rounds” as they can get away with. At least it is being discussed rather than the knee jerk reaction that could have happened. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Like I said, if it means anything to you then crack on with your mourning. No need to inflict it on the rest of us though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

This is absolutely ludicrous. If anyone wants to mourn, they are free to do so, but the completely predictable death of a 96 year old shouldn’t mean the country has to come to a standstill. We’re not in the 19th century anymore. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Agreed, it was a proper Tory government, with all the associated damage caused to the country. The Liberals did not lessen the effect at all and were largely ignored (and subsequently scapegoated). Back onto the original point, the primary reason Labour lost was that while their policies were...
