Relegation being on the cards was for the bedwetters only.

Which is a given when you take Haji and EMC out of our starting lineup. Despite the doomsayers, Lampard last 2 wins have been monumental in terms of tactical adaptation and getting results that could turn our season around. A win (or draw even) against Norwich away would’ve turned heads and...

When I told the lads I usually go to away games I was going with, they did a welfare check; ‘is everything ok at home’:.. Tonight is the kind of nights that pays back the support that follow us up and down this country! Great win! Fair play to Lampard getting this team to win back-to-back tough...

    Liam Kitching

Ngl, is ok feeling smug that, like you it felt that Kitching was a missing piece on the defence this season! It’s no coincidence that we’re keeping more clean sheets and looking better defensively with him in the team and, dare I say it, if Robins had kept faith, he’d still be in a job right now.

    Transfer Rumour January transfer window

BTA is good enough to be a first choice striker. Let’s not forget he was WBA’s top scorer last season. He’s not going to put up 15-20 goals a season If everyone is available, my front 3 would be EMC-Simms-Wright and Saka, BTA would be the go too role players from the bench. Bassette, in my...

    Transfer Rumour January transfer window

If we’re serious about getting up the table and out of this league in the coming seasons, we need a better sub than Bassette. BTA is a better player (right now) than Bassette so selling him with no replacement weakens the squad. If BTA starts 8 of the next 11 games or so (as Bassette had done)...

Im posting Something positive about frank lampard

Defensively, we’ve been poor all season and there isn’t much reason to believe that MR would’ve done much better than Rhys Carr or Lampard. Away we had Sunderland, Burnley, Norwich, WBA and Pompey. Home games v Sheff U and Cardiff. This is from a purely goals conceded perspective. Looking at our...

    Pato

Paterson is in his 30s, he’s not in his prime… Even if we signed him, he’s not being brought in as the main man but a squad player. Someone with 13 or so goal contributions last season isn’t to be sniffed at.

Im posting Something positive about frank lampard

In the league we conceded 1.35 goals a game under MR. At home, we conceded 11 goals in 6 games which was one of the worst in the league (still is). In Lampard’s tenure, we’ve conceded 3 goals in 5 home games comparatively. Whichever way you cut it, there’s been an improvement under Lampard and...

This. He came to the club conceding 2 goals a game! There is the obvious point that Haji Wright hasn’t played for him yet and his ‘star’ EMC was injured early on. We won’t be able to fairly assess his tenure until they’re back and we’ve made a signing or two.

    Close quarter control

Hard disagree on Bidwell too. The only fullback we have who looks better as a WB is JDS.

Im posting Something positive about frank lampard

We would be much worse to watch without Wright or EMC under Robins too. Credit to Lampard, the team has adapted quite well whilst missing 2-3 key players. Yesterday’s win was perhaps our best of the season barring Boro away, even if it wasn’t a thrilling game.

    Mike Ashley rumours

How much is Mike Ashley’s net worth is tied up in Fraser’s? Your personal dislike for him is clouding your judgement imo.

    Transfer Rumour January transfer window

Was it ever really on? I passed on your info to my flatmate (Burnley fan) and his reaction was that he couldn’t see them signing another CB. They have 5-6 CBs on the books It’d be stupid get rid of BTA too, relying on Bassette to get goals from the bench is not what I’d consider a wise move...

Ruud Van Nistelrooy applies for Coventry Job

If that’s the case, how have we dodged a bullet? Guilty of this myself, but a lot of people got carried away with RVN’s run as interim manager at Man U over a short timeframe. Take Lampard for example, his first season at Chelsea was seen as an overwhelming success and he had a good 12-18...

    Transfer Rumour January transfer window

Agreed, all things considered, we were the better team in the match. Considering Bristol’s league position, you can’t underestimate what a result it was for us today. Happy for BTA too because it was a lovely finish and he had some decent flashes of quality. Theres plenty to come from the...

    Dean Austin position untenable

There’ll always be an element of a new manager coming in and wanting to bring in specific players/player profiles. Apparently we’ve enquired about a few Chelsea players (shock) - including Guiu who is a striker. If you’re Doug King and you’ve spent money on Wright, Simms, BTA and Bassette… why...
