I’ve worked in Birmingham for the past 36 years (retired last week!) spreading the Sky Blue Gospel! I have to say I haven’t made many converts! For the past 28 years I have worked in Chelmsley Wood which is a bit of a Blues stronghold. I have obviously worked with lots of Blues and Villa fans...

Glad our fans aren't the manager...

Robins got us promoted. Who is to say that if he had implemented the changes that you were asking for that we still would have gone up. Trusting the judgement of a man whose working life has been spent in football or a fan on the internet? I know who I would go with.

I played football with George, his dad. He was a big City fan, always at games.

I’m not sure about that. I thought Westbrook’s was okay today.whilw I think that O’Hare will be a regular in the team eventually, I think Robins might stick with the midfield that started today for a while yet. Could be wrong though.

    Wish you were here

I think O'Hare has started well and will be a good player for us this season. That now doesn't mean that Bright was suddenly crap. Two different players who play in different ways. I wonder if we had managed to re-sign Bright would we have been under so much pressure on Saturday. He is a player...

    Bakayoko

This is the way I would see it too. I think he always works hard and gives everything. He shows glimpses of potential but overall his contribution has been disappointing. His performance at Watford was awful. Following on from Robin’s comments last week, I would much sooner see Bakayoko go out on...

    Junior Brown to Scunthorpe

His best moment was probably his goal line clearance against Doncaster(?) to preserve a win followed by his dash to the toilet at the end.

    Highfield Road Best Memories ?

We were 3-2 down after being 2-0 up. In 52 years of watching the City I have never seen us come back from a three goal deficit. Brighton came back from three down to draw with us at Highfield Road and Forest from 4 down before losing 5-4 but in my time we have never done it.

Perhaps some of the problems we have in football is clubs being bankrolled by rich benefactors. It distorts the picture and means that well run clubs that live within their means can’t compete. Have the owners of Chelsea and Man City been good for football? I wouldn’t say so. It is quite simply...

If it becomes a rule that to play in the league, a new model of ownership has to come into play when a club changes hands, any new owners would know what they are signing up to.

For us as a club, the happenings in the PL are of only passing interest in terms of who can or can’t win the league. For the likes of us, Bury, Bolton Blackpool etc theissue is about surviving and thriving. It is about stopping unsuitable owners being able to use and abuse a club that morally...

The German model can’t be impossible to implement or they wouldn’t have been able to do it! Perhaps it would require a change of league rules whereby the next time a club changes hands, it must be guaranteed that 51% is owned by the fans.

Since the implementation of the PL, how many Leicester situations have we had? (Only Leicester as far as I can remember. Blackburn might be given as another example, but they were bankrolled by Jack Walker). In Germany there are only two likely winners of their league. How many likely winners of...

Can you give examples of posts on here calling for money the club hasn’t got to be spent on the team?

Match Thread Oxford United vs. Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 31st Aug

I would pick O’Hare to start based on his two performances so far. Bakayoko was disappointing last night but that was perhaps no surprise. The really disappointing performance from the Watford game was that of Kastaneer. He seemed lost at times, miscontrolling the ball, giving it away as well as...

Maybe then the model needs to change and that football clubs should be seen as community assets, run for and by the community that formed them. (Perhaps should apply to rugby clubs too to stop anymore franchise Wasps type moves happening). The only way I can see this happening is by giving fans...
