Definitely! Really want to see him and Walker playing up top together!

Yeah I'm not a fan of cortisone injections at all personally, it essentially blocks inflammation which is key to tissue healing, and there is a movement in the medical profession to let the body get on and do its thing with the healing response, rather than suppressing it. It all comes from...

A really good summary tbf! Plantar fasciitis is really common and usually caused by overloading of the fascia (tough, ropelike material similar to tendons that is found all over the body, but in this case mostly helps maintain the arch of the foot which acts as a kind of suspension). PF is...

Fair point but I'd say if a team feels a foul should have been given they could use a review and ask the ref to take another look at it

Captains of each team should have say 3 appeals per game, used for whatever decisions they wish. That way decisions only get overturned if the opposition actually felt aggrieved by something, and would need to be sure about their claims before using up an appeal.

Excellent article on the increase in injury recurrence rates from the Barcelona sports science innovation hub here: CHALLENGES IN SPORTS MEDICINE DUE TO THE RISE OF INJURIES IN FOOTBALL I personally think that in addition to injuries caused by increased physical demands of the game, injuries...

    Kelly

Tbf while playing Kelly, Gus, and Sheaf in a midfield 3 would be pretty defensive, it would be solid enough to allow Dabo and Giles/McCallum to play as more progressive full backs, thus retaining some of the threat of them as wingbacks. If they were providing the width, O'Hare could stay central...

Can see us reverting to the box with so many strikers out: Marosi Osti Fadz Rose McCallum Sheaf Hamer Giles OHare Allen Biamou Slightly worrying line up but I have a good feeling about today - our result against reading was a reminder that as tough as this league is, anyone really can beat anyone.

    Jordy Hiwula

Lots of very harsh comments on Hiwula on this thread imo... In reality he is a decent League 1 attacker who just didn't quite have the guile to have a real impact on what was the best team in the league last year. Had far more of a positive impact on our club than most of the dross we have had...

This is the worry with Jones too... Really common to do the medial meniscus and medial collateral ligament alongside ACL injuries, although Jones's sounded like a less traumatic mechanism of injury so hopefully his is cleaner

Full ACL rehab protocol is usually 9-12 months + match fitness time

    O’Hare’s goal

This is what sets him apart for me... I bet there are plenty of creative players of his ability in the championship who go unnoticed in most games because they dont have enough aggression and bravery to make things happen. Its so rare for a player in his position to have both.

As @better days says the surgeon will have a pretty accurate idea of prognosis once he sees the extent of the damage - I personally doubt its a bad one with other injuries alongside if what's reported about him hardly noticing is true. Post-op its pretty impossible to tell how successful the...

This is part of the reasoning behind the conservative treatment approach! The hamstrings can essentially do the job of the ACL if trained correctly and if he isn't actually displaying functional deficits Id be really reluctant to put him through the surgery again personally!
