Best 11 since return to the championship

Collins was in the positives last year for the metric that works out goals prevented. This season, however, he is the worst in the league and Wilson is down there as well. Dovin, on the other hand, is emerging as a top 5 goalkeeper. Ironically, Jaime Cumming has similar stats despite his howler...

    Rudoni injury

Just as you think we’re getting to 100%, the football gods have their own ideas. Losing our top assister means Saka, EMC and/or Torp need to step and get us over the line in these games.

Best 11 since return to the championship

Maatsen went over my head! He’s got to be in! On Ostigard, I think Thomas has been better player for us and will probably have a higher ceiling. Hes struggled to find a home. Believe it or not, he’s played more games for us than any other club and it’s quite sad to see!

Best 11 since return to the championship

Best 11 since getting back to the Championship for me would be: Dovin MVE Thomas Doyle Maatsen Hamer Grimes Sheaf Wright Simms Vik Probably wouldn’t function well as a team, frankly. It’s harsh on Rudoni and COH to miss out.

The ghost of O’Hare finally laid to rest?

Spoiler alert: he won’t. Sheffield Utd will need better players if they get promoted to the Prem. Which, hopefully they don’t because we beat them in the playoffs… It was telling that as a free agent, COH didn’t get a big offer from a Prem team that he probably expected and frankly, I’m glad...

    Rudoni injury

Next game, I’d expect Allen to come back into the team to give the legs in midfield from the defensive side of the game. However, as Haji builds his minutes, the best team probably looks like: Dovin MVE Thomas Kitching Bidwell Sakamoto Grimes Sheaf EMC Simms Wright Probably a 4-4-2 and given...

    Post-penalty

Lampard will get him working on penalties in training. It was his first penalty as a professional and frankly, like you, I didn’t feel confident. It is a shame that we were missing our top 3 penalty takers in Wright, Torp and Rudoni. I’m surprised Eccles or Sheaf didn’t take one as they’ve...

    Referee

I didn’t see any issues with the ref but the Oxford fans were whining like piglets and on their forum. Lampard reckons their 1st goal should have been chalked off for a foul. I haven’t watched it back. For all the poor goals we’ve conceded this season, EMC and Simms’ goals in recent games is a...

Im posting Something positive about frank lampard

We need to get on the polls and vote against Lampard… 😂 I’ve just looked at Leeds results and they have a 100% record against Cardiff, Watford, Sunderland, Sheffield United and of course, ourselves. Farke genuinely deserves MOTM because that’s a tough run in!

    Frank or Mark?

Good overview and lovely details on individual players. It is jarring that he is talking about Rudoni being a LWB when he’s not played there since the Robins days! He’s completely missed that we’ve already transitioned back to 4-3-3/4-2-3-1 rather than 5-3-2.

    Im at the point now

Ipswich have tied up top end Championship talent with their spending this season. Luton lost their talisman and hadn’t spent much of the Prem money on top championship talent in the first place. If anything, I could see Leicester struggling the most out of the relegated teams, particularly if...

    Im at the point now

There’s no reason why we can go up this season. Since Lampard has took over, we’ve been the 4th best team in the league (technically 3rd until Burnley play their game in hand) so we’re more than capable of finishing in the playoffs. From there, it’s anyone’s chance and we’d most likely be...

    Player ratings v Oxford

It is worth noting that Oxford have a strong home record so this was never going to be a walk over. It was disappointing in parts because we left ourselves open and gave them chances to get something from the match. They hadn’t had a shot on target for a few games before today. The build up for...

    Player ratings v Oxford

I actually thought Simms had a decent game today despite the penalty miss. Frankly, I didn’t have confidence that he would bury it and it wasn’t a good strike. He brought a lot of physicality against their CBs and pinned them back a bit when we lumped the ball up. Haji had some nice flashes...

Im posting Something positive about frank lampard

We have a UCL winning assistant manager and that Jones has coached at Chelsea under the best managers to ever do it (Ancelotti, Mourinho and more). The quality of coaching is telling on the pitch. I’m hoping our success will allow Lampard to expand the set up and get 1-2 more top quality...

Agreed with this. I do think this sense of an inevitable loss or draw is because of our early form and there’s a disbelief that we’re winning so many games. There’s a reason many people fancied us to be top 3 or 4 before the season started, we’ve addressed the biggest positional need going into...

Im posting Something positive about frank lampard

The attention to detail is there under Lampard and his team. The broad plan is more of less the same. We move the ball quicker and get the ball in the box earlier. Defensively, the box has been defended a lot better consistently since Lampard has come in. The second goal today where EMC just...

    Rudoni injury

I’d try 4-4-2 potentially. The shape in defence was 4-4-2 in defence with Eccles playing higher up than usual. Great opportunity for Torp when he comes back though if Lampard sticks with 4-3-3/4-2-3-1.

Trump is my favourite comedian of the year already

Point 1 - how do you achieve that victory? The same electorate who voted for Biden, Trump x2 and Obama x2 was mostly the same. So was the electorate more enlightened in 2020 compared to 2016 and 2024? I’m curious to understand the maths here. Why is voting Democrat inherently in the interest...
