Match Thread Coventry City vs. Bolton Wanderers Match Thread - Saturday 8th Feb

I think that that is the point. Most people wouldn’t make those comments at the time of the event ( in this case the Bolton equaliser) or otherwise. Surely you have to have a sense of perspective when you say or write something? That Bolton equaliser came in a game that followed a run of 5 wins...

We should also have scored before they did. I have to say, although they were buzzing about and looking dangerous, I can’t remember a chance they had after their equaliser. When was it?

I think it is mostly the other way around. I think those watching on Ifollow are much more likely to comment on the match thread in game time. There was a noticeable difference for the Birmingham replay in the comments made about a match that wasn’t screened. There were still negative comments...

Calling Robins arrogant and worse isn't having a discussion. There is no logic or rationality to throwing insults at the manager particularly when you consider the run we are on. Aimlessly asserting with complete conviction that he needs to do this or needs to do that, when, on almost every...

You got stick on Tuesday for calling the performance embarrassing. It was a performance to be proud of.

We haven't been lucky this season and we weren't lucky yesterday. We have got to where we are because of the way we have played. There is a good case to be made that with the rub of the green we could be a good few points better off. (Bolton away, Tranmere, Doncaster home just a few of the games...

Match Thread Coventry City vs. Bolton Wanderers Match Thread - Saturday 8th Feb

This is the best season I can remember for not having to feel the bitterness of a defeat. To be honest, I think it is all relative. When we were winning games in the fourth division two years ago, it still felt as good as as when we won games in the top flight. I think Villa were relegated from...

Just being nosey but which session did you go to?. I usually go to the SBitC sessions run by Dave Bennett at St Finbarr's Club on. Monday and Thursday. Unfortunately I pulled a calf muscle on Monday so I will be out for a week or two. I have to say I absolutely love the sessions. They are...

    Matt Godden

Just to clarify, I don't think Biamou is a brilliant player, (although he does score some brilliant goals). I just don't get the need to write him or other players off because that's what we do. I think Bakayoko has generally been poor since he arrived but does show on occasions glimpses of why...

The only games I see where he has started as the lone striker were: Ipswich home in the cup, a1-1 draw, Shrewsbury away, 2_1 defeat, he went off injured, Ipswich Cup replay won 2-1 he scored, and Bristol R. Cup replay, won 3-0 he scored 2. I would think that it is hard to form a definite opinion...

    TLS - Rovers Away (again)

Glad to see those toilets still have their poetic charm. I decided to give them a miss on Saturday after my Cup game visit. Can’t have too much of a good thing! My son who did make a visit on Saturday told me that, never mind the toilet, there was a queue for the near by bush. All for the bargain...

I think that it is really hard to have an objective opinion about a player whose performance you haven’t seen. For some, Biamou and Bakayoko will never be given credit no matter how they play. Last night they were both excellent, both scored but still not good enough for some.

We scored the equaliser against Doncaster in injury time. They scored earlier in the second half.

You have spent the entire season complaining about Bakayoko and how he needs to be shipped out. Now you’ve started on Godden. It’s a good job that we have a manager who is far more consistent than some of the fans.

I enjoyed it. I enjoyed seeing us more than match, at times out play a team from a higher division. It shows what a good team we are for the level that we play at and it also shows that, even at this stage, we might be able to compete at the level above. A performance to be proud of.
