It’s poor I agree but effective against us! They let us have the ball and pass it around the back. We then give it to Grimes and let him make a decision, rather than needlessly pressing our defenders. From there they have two organised banks ready for long or short options.

As another poster said, Plymouth so far look like they just want it more. They’ve set up exactly right for playing against us imo and started some big units. Im not even going to mention the red card. Feel like we’re going to need some early subs to win this.

MVE was piss weak for that goal. Let’s be honest @Tommo1993 its all happened quite quickly 😂

I did, because I read the posts in chronological order. Do you read books from back to front?

You posted about their pressing, afterwards. So initially, there was no context. Hope that helps.

Well when you posted it, they weren’t. That’s why people questioned it. Because it was ridiculous.

Both going to be on the bench though as late game options? I’m guessing just having their minutes managed. I hope.

    Ellis simms

Bit harsh to say he does nothing well. I was critical of him after WBA because despite what some posters said, he wasn’t good. But there is certainly a few things he can do. Six yard box he comes alive, he’s physically built to be a CF and he can shoot with power. And this is where I’m at. He’s...

    Lati appreciation thread

Yeah, as a centre back he is full blooded and gives his all. His limitations on the ball way less apparent now Grimes is here. I’m glad he’s doing well because I hated seeing him in the team sometimes and now he’s taken his chance, I’m happy!

It’s away and a long trip for the lads, but no disrespect to Plymouth - we have to consider this the “easier” game of the last three. Unfortunately in the Champ, that means basically nothing 😂 Start same team as Friday. They were terrible when we last played them, but I imagine they have...

    WBA Ratings

In the same boat as you here, but he’s been really good and as another poster has said; always having Grimes as an option has massively helped him.

I know nothing intel-wise myself! I’m just going by him seeming like a driven fella, he seems like he wants to be playing and he’s not!

BTA I can see going, but more because I think he wants to be the main man somewhere.

There are so many things with this post which are ridiculous, but I think I’ll just leave you to it as I’m just going to enjoy the win😂

I think I’d maybe be a little surprised to see Simms move on tbh. I do think they’ll be looking at loaning out Bassette though and getting in another more experienced CF?

We’ve seen glimpses of Simms ability for sure. His stats which I think @stupot07 posted for today suggest he didn’t do as well as you think he did. He was good against Hull. Bassette also looks like a professional footballer, just a young / naive one. The game changing in WBAs favour at the end...

No because I think Simms is better for the team? I just don’t understand why a player who has far less experience and is much younger gets pelters when Simms is hardly living up to expectations himself. They’re also both completely different styles of player.
