Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Are you suggesting that we let the UK become extinct?

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

The people who rely more on public services are increasing as a proportion of the population, so there are not "less services" there are more and yet less people to actually provide them.

    Starmer lost control of borders

Hansard publishes a record of what was said on the day. Given who said it, that probably would incude "any old shit". I have provided you with the original source of her information and shown that she has deliberately misrepresented it.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

The current government is doing nothing material, changing planning laws in the hope the market delivers. It won't, it has no interest in doing so.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

That 'solvability' one is shocking really. You could have two of exactly the same crime, victim doesn't press charges but police decide to investigate further where easy (easy means less resource intensive = cheaper). This is where nonsensical 'cost' principles collide with necessary public...

It's OK, the market is about to deliver for us at last

Population explosion? The current levels of population growth are not high at all by modern day standards. The rate of growth has been in decline for quite a long period actually.

    Investment? £15m nominal value

The club has already got a revolving credit facility so I'd be surprised

    Championship thread 25/26!

Agreed, it's good that Rachel Reeves has finally cottoned on to the treasury's business case assessment metrics skewing them in favour of spending more money on London and the South East rather than being to address real needs.

They don't, the definition doesn't exist when it comes to allocating government funding. The Core Cities are a lobby group. The WMCA funding from central government is essentially based on what the former EU funding allocations were for the areas covered by it. These will be based on formulas...

But a lot of that is down to what it asks for. Coventry doesn't ask for anything, it's got morons like Jim O'Boyle in its cabinet.

I don't think so. The starting point for the CBS is to make it better connected to Coventry to begin with, it is an appalling service currently.

    Championship thread 25/26!

Just realised this new funding is on top of that i mentioned previously, still think something that was otherwise planned has been leapt on by BCFC rather than the funding being because of BCFC. Coventry City Council needs much better leadership, while its experimenting with tiny VLR trams...

    Championship thread 25/26!

The Midland Metro Extension to Digbeth has been planned for years in principle so that it can link HS2 with New Street. It is fuck all to do with Birmingham City. https://governance.wmca.org.uk/documents/s25056/Birmingham%20Eastside%20Metro%20Extension%20-%20FBC%20WMCA%20Board%20-%20Final.pdf

    Starmer lost control of borders

She is either very thick or acting in bad faith, or more likely both, and is conflating the cost of provision of services to a UK national to an illegal immigrant. Even the report says they are not comparable...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Of course they do. The ability of people to have 'buy to let' mortgages creates artificial demand for the purchase of houses which drives price inflation, and to complete the cycle drives more people into needing to rent privately. I agree on your second paragraph though, there needs to be...

    Evil Fuckers

Not an absolute defence but perhaps slashing a council's budget nearly 40% in real terms has some consequences. https://blog.bham.ac.uk/cityredi/insights-into-birmingham-city-councils-spending-power-revenue-funding-and-spending-between-2010-11-and-2019-2020/

    Israel - Palestinian Conflict

My recently elected local MP is current chair of LFI. It didn't get a single mention in his election materials. He's been over to Israel on trips funded by LFI. Scumbag.
