I’m using Simms as a benchmark if he’s that bad a player, these players would have a track record of scoring more goals and they don’t. It misses the actual point is that if these players can barely muster numbers better than Simms at their best… they aren’t going to be a better player Haji...

One of them will go imo and my money is on BTA leaving. I don’t quite understand why we’re deifying strikers like Tyrese Campbell and Riis (two to be fair) after one good season when, put into context, they scored less than Simms in 23/24. They’re certainly not better players than Haji.

Possibly, or we’re injecting cash into the squad. £15m + whatever we recoup in some outgoings should give Lampard significant sums to upgrade the team to get over the final hurdle. We’re closer than we think.

Similar boat here. His best seasons have been when he’s played 40+ games. In his shortened seasons, he’s managed about half the season and scored 5-6 goals. However, his worst season would give you an aneurysm Evo, 2 goals in 38…

Both Moore and Morris had a worse non-penalty minutes per goal than Simms. This obsession with those two players needs to stop. It’s embarrassing. Haji Wright is miles better than both players and it would be suicidal (for our promotion aspirations) to replace him with one of those strikers.

How do you plan on improving that position then? If you’re buying in England, the price will be inflated and abroad, you run the risk they may not adapt. We’re chasing promotion, if we sell our top scorer from the last 2 seasons you need to sign someone to make an impact this season...

It’s a gamble to sell if it leaves us a weaker team selling Haji. You’re looking at spending around £10m for a striker to replace him and that player would likely have higher wages. Anything less than £15m is a waste of time for us.

The sample size is far too small to make that judgement. I just think it’s down to the team’s form as a whole.
