I'm not sold on the Stamenic vs Browne theory tbh. I think it's just fans putting 2 & 2 together knowing that we were close with Stamenic.
They're different types of player & if you look, Stamenic is clearly earmarked as then enabling us to sell Sheaf (as King himself admitted)
As it is, we...
According to John Percy @ The Telegraph:
"a compensation package will have to be agreed with Coventry as Robins was placed on gardening leave after his surprise dismissal in November."
Interesting one. A real basket case of a club &, although he's obviously thrived under trying conditions here, he was at least largely left to get on with footballing matters.
Best of luck to him, except when they play us obviously.
Very good & simplifies it for those that don't understand it. Probably a bit too simplistic if anything but tbh I'd rather it never became a mainstream media & fans thing in the first place.
Exactly. It was never a hard & fast "no loans". King was reluctant as he sees it as dead money & for the other reasons outlined by Austin at the forum but for the right player at the right price, there was always room for at least 1. We should have done more to get 1 or 2 in during the summer...
I know... I even said it at the time. See below

James McConnell I was told.
I agree & also think we should have pushed harder in the summer, but as I say it would be a bit of a 180° for King. He was very cautious/reluctant with them even as a proposed playoff chasing team to then spend money on them for no return would be odd. Hopefully, as suggested he's listening to...
Would be an odd change of tact from King given we aren't going down or making playoffs, it's just dead money. Caveats over loans with view to perm or if we're offloading elsewhere to offset the wages of course.
