Match Thread Coventry City - Ipswich Town [FA] Match Thread - Saturday 8th Feb

Mmmmm, I’m not too sure that Lampards basic instructions do not include that you must pass to a team mate and not make silly errors that aid the opposition with scoring 3-4 goals.

Match Thread Coventry City - Ipswich Town [FA] Match Thread - Saturday 8th Feb

I mentioned previously that although Latts had an absolute stinker today he was played at RWB by default. He can “apparently” cover a number of positions which is a Jack of all trades and master of none scenario. I’m just wondering what Da Silvas excuse is?

Not sure what the idea was of Latts on the right but that was one of the worst displays I’ve seen for a while. He even surpassed DaSilva it was that bad.

Well, they haven’t had to work for it and just as it was against Leeds we’ve given them a helping hand. Early goal required second half.

    Referee

This is the biggest myth when it comes to officials in regards to the every day football fan. The referee is measured on how he deals with the key decisions and incidents that occur during the match.

And if that was the case then we should snap their hands off.

He had a reasonable game by his usual standards but it was generally all very safe. But that was in itself was an improvement.

    Referee

Hmmmm, not sure what that has got to do with the Binks situation. Just for the record I didn’t see anything wrong with the goal and am as puzzled as everyone else why it was disallowed.

    Referee

All fair points. What we don’t know which is standard practice as an official, is if the referee asked the player (in this case Binks) before treatment is administered and physio’s enter the pitch, if he (Binks) wants the physio to come on for treatment. On many occasions a player will say no...

Not arguing in regards to that-but he was correct regarding the Binks/cut situation.

    FA Cup 4th Round

Not too bad a draw really. Again needs to be priced sensibly and we should see a reasonable crowd. Winnable game aswell.

    Referee

Jeez! Tar us all with the same brush! I quoted the laws of the game on the basis that he was right to send Binks off the field as he had a cut/head injury and that IS correct. Were we disadvantaged on that basis-YES! Was that the referees doing-NO, as he correctly applied the laws of the game...

    Referee

I didn’t see that but for those who are still thinking he was wrong to ask Binks to leave the field of play- In relation to the management of injuries, the Referee should also: - Ensure that any bleeding player, or a player with blood on their playing equipment, should leave the field of...
