    Scumberland or Shitefield ?

We could afford it simply because we had a starting eleven, at Wembley, that cost less than £10m. Sunderland haven't bought their way to the PL, we didn't sign one new player in the January window. Not exactly sure why I'd pretend everyone will copy that strategy tbh, I wouldn't.

It only cost a couple of million, half of what you paid for Grimes ... money well spent and very smart imo. Sheff Utd spent five times that on Cannon and he was hopeless. If you think that's all he did there's no point discussing it tbh and, btw, stoppage time goals got you to the playoffs.

If you can recall multiple chances I'm not disputing that but I can't think of any apart from the late header at the SOL tbh. What were your best three that you recall.

And? I'm far from feeling downtrodden, we're a good club that's run well and has good support. But I don't go around thinking we're better than anyone else, you probably wouldn't like that either. I don't see us as bigger than Coventry, Sheff Utd, Burnley, Leeds, Sheff Wed, Boro, etc.

I'm not playing anything down. My point is that we've achieved promotion by operating within our means and not by splashing the cash. If you think it's through financial muscle that's fair enough, just different opinions.

    To be fair, you didn't.

Top four in debt? As for the rest, I already said ... 'How does our wage bill compare to Coventry's, I've no idea tbh.' You seem to be fixated with the idea that we've bought our way to the PL, now that's what I call delusional. Our starting eleven, at Wembley, cost less than Tom Cannon.

    Scumberland or Shitefield ?

That seems quite modest tbh, I think we're about mid-table in spending and much better in regards to debt. Our starting eleven, at Wembley, cost less than Tom Cannon. Our crowds obviously help and we get lots of TV coverage, etc. I'm expecting a big American investment soon which will leave...

    Scumberland or Shitefield ?

One player doesn't represent the entire club. A year's wages would only be £3.5m which is nothing for a player of his talent. He was brought in to help get us to the PL and would've left if that didn't work. It was a very smart bit of business as it's earned £200m. It's balanced by the...

    Scumberland or Shitefield ?

It was £3.5m rising to a maximum of £5m on promotion and appearances. Hardly buying our way to the PL. The value of our arrivals now is down to good management, Isidor is now worth more than we'll have to pay. How does our wage bill compare to Coventry's, I've no idea tbh.

    Scumberland or Shitefield ?

The value of the Sunderland squad may be £140m but we haven't spent anywhere near that. Patterson, Neil, Rigg and Watson are all Sunderland kids as is Jones who was a sub at Wembley. Hume was about £150k and most of the squad are £1m PL rejects or foreign unknowns. Sunderland are actually in...

    Scumberland or Shitefield ?

Even your own posters agreed it was onside tbf, the defender couldn’t have known either way. It was one of the few moves of any quality from both teams.

    Scumberland or Shitefield ?

We failed to stop two hopeful crosses, works both ways. Le Fée created our first goal at Coventry and the winner at the SOL, you just couldn't stop them because the defending wasn't good enough. We also have more decent chances tbf. Bellingham will probably go for £25/30 million at the end of...

No, you're right, there definitely isn’t 😁 It's not a defense, there's nothing to defend.

    Scumberland or Shitefield ?

If 'seething' means 'couldn't care less' in Coventry you could be right ... ... in reality Coventry weren't better at defending or scoring, 5 poor attempts on target over two games home and away. No great saves, no clearances off the line, no one-on-one's, no last ditch tackles, no...

That wasn't the issue, it was the fact that it was orchestrated before the game kicked off. But, as you say, it's the present that counts.
