    Ranson

Have to admit that, at the time, I thought that CC was a good appointment - young manager who'd done OK in the Premier, had experience of managing abroad. On the other hand, my heart sank when I heard we'd got AB.

How many matchs have you been to this year?

All the home games except Reading when I was taking #2 son to start university. As some have said, it's more out of habit than excitement now. You do wonder how a new generation of City fans will ever "get the bug".

SISU and money aside...what's wrong here?

At least in that plan they did envisage some survivors..........

SISU and money aside...what's wrong here?

I think we agree on more than we disagree. I guess what I was trying to say was that whilst I've been disappointed with what AT has got out of the squad this year (having been very pleasantly surprised by what he got out of a better squad last year), I think that it's a secondary issue...

SISU and money aside...what's wrong here?

Is that what they call putting words into peoples' mouths? I'm sure it has "absolutely something" to do with everyone involved with the playing side of the club. However, at the risk of being repetitive, last year we finished 18th. We only managed that because of the late run under AT -...

SISU and money aside...what's wrong here?

Excellent, well argued post. I've been very disappointed by Sheff and Bell this season after the way they played at the end of last. I think it's largely due to the loss of MK whose runs used to open up so many possibilities for the attacking midfielders. Unfortunately, this year we're a lot...

    CCFC's biggest ever mistake?

A couple of others: Selling Dennis Mortimer - always felt he could have captained the side to great things, wonder what happened to him after he left..... Selling Garry Thompson - Sexton was building a really good young team, they saw the writing on the wall when Garry went and so Thomas...

If We'd Won No-One Would Be Talking About Dulieu On The Bench. WRONG

My best guess is that you're referring to the Mirror article and in particular: "The fears seem genuine, shared among senior circles within the Championship, with Delieu’s appearance on the bench a few feet from Thorn the symbol of a club that has lost its sense of bearings. Pressed in the...

We want SISU out? i do now

Investment companies invest to get a return. Sometimes things work well and they make a profit. Sometimes things work badly and they make a loss. SISU paid nothing for the shares in CCFC as they (rightly in my opinion) said that the shares had no value. Since the acquisition they have...

    Why why why ... ?

I suppose those of us that think that abusing players who already lack confidence is (let me put this gently) a bit dumb, should just be grateful for the finances and distance.

Ken Deluded - Q&A with CT

I'd love to know why he's really resigned from the Board. He's still effectively doing the Director of Football job, but wants to be "Head of" rather than "Director of". Why????? And given that we now have no Chairman and no CEO, who is actually running the place?

    Boothroyd

I thought that CC was going to manage the Greek team but they couldn't agree wages...... I was just trying to think of the last manager to leave us, who then went on to manage (what was at the time) a bigger club. I must confess I'm struggling........

    Chris cattlin

I think the term "legend" is probably the most mis-used term in football these days. Anyone who once had a trial for the youth team seems to be a "legend", if you believe some of the hype. Richard Shaw was a decent defender who played many games for us, always gave his all and would...

Why all this hysteria about SUSI?

Ok - let's put to one side the issues about the total lack of communication with the fans ("We've invited the Chairman to come onto the Breakfast Show or the Friday Phone-In or the Matchday Prog, but he has again declined.....) and let's address financial viability. In the aforementioned...

    Robinson shot down in flames

Robinson invested a great deal of his own money into the club. He was obviously looking to get a return on it, but that's fair enough, or are we now only going to be happy with investors who gift money to the club? When things went tits up, he was prepared (however reluctantly) to take a major...

    Thorn's Subs

At 1-0, West Ham were starting to push forward more to try to save the game and as a consequence we started to get chances to break away. A couple of times in quick succession, Sheff was running at a retreating West Hame defence, with Juke and Platt ahead of him. That was the time to take...
