I think you're missing the point.

    latest statement from Mr Appleton

If the academy is under threat, don't you think that the mean reason might be that the legal entity that has permission to run it is in administration?

Administrator denies he's concluded share was with limited

However Appleton was appointed as the administrator of Limited. If the League say the GS is in Limited, why would he dispute that? Surely his duty is to get as much value as possible for Limited's creditors, so the more assets (in this case, possibly the only asset!!) the better. More...

Administrator denies he's concluded share was with limited

I don't know if anyone's checked the League's rules, but I'd be surprised if they don't have a clause stopping the GS being moved without their permission - it'd make a bit of a mockery of the "fit & proper person" rule otherwise. If so and the League say it's in Limited, then it's rather...

Keyes and Gray with Gary Mcallister this morning

I will forgive you for that comment if you confirm that you were too young to see Tommy Hutchison!! :D

    Shocking Moments at CCFC Games

Think it was Southampton (in the far off days when we were in the same division as them!)

Two wrongs don't make a right

Hmmmm, getting a bit carried away perhaps? Firstly, I can't see what link there is between the legality of the council's loan and ACL applying to put CCFC Ltd into administration Secondly, you may recall that SISU/the club put CCFC Ltd into administration, so a bit tricky to take action...

My first Board position was in 1989 (if you ignore the 4 years prior to that attending Board meetings as Company Secretary) so I have a reasonable idea of how corporate governance operates, both in theory and in practice. In the world that I've lived in, strategy is prepared by Executive...

    Stuart Linnell....

You make a number of valid points. A lot of the criticism starts from a viewpoint that the BBC is meant to be "impartial". Now, it's absolutely valid to debate how this impartiality should manifest itself through an individual presenter on a sports show - it's not like the BBC news are overtly...

Turning verbal cartwheels now in an attempt to justify your longstanding position. You quote - "They are not involved in the day-to-day running of business but monitor the executive activity and contribute to the development of strategy." and then, somewhat amazingly, move from "monitor" and...

True, but some businesses manage to keep friendly relations with those who have departed. Some even think it may be in their business interest so to do, something about not burning bridges unnecessarily.

    Golden share found!

It could be a positive. Let's assume that SISU's action has some validity - even though they appealed against the 10 point deduction "after taking extensive legal advice", only to drop the action 2 or 3 days later.... If so, the council may see some immediate benefit in unwinding the loan...

Two wrongs don't make a right

Funny how the passage of time can make things clearer. I was very critical of SISU over the way negotiations with ACL about the rent were handled. It seemed crazy to me that when they were locked into a legally binding contract and wanted the other party to amend the terms in their favour...

    Golden share found!

If that's true, things could really start to happen now - and for once, that could be in a positive way.
