In other news I just found out that possession stats stats in football are just proportion of passes made and nothing to do with how long you have the ball.......mind blown.

Deals like this have been going on for years, we first did it in 2010 when we got Danny Ward on loan. You know the maximum you will pay for a player then it reduces the more you play them. Ward Joins Coventry

Will Maddison be in the England Squad??

He doesn't play for Norwich anymore so the only way we'll get any money is if they put a clause in his sale to Leicester, then we might get a percentage.

A rumour with no substance like most connected with us. It's more likely that it's a deal where what we pay for him reduces the more he plays.

    Sterling negativity

For Chelsea and England he's played a lot as a wingback, I think positionally he's still getting used to being in a back four. Some of the abuse he's been getting is ridiculous. He defended well at Wimbledon and was fairly solid again yesterday. He hasnt been pulled apart by any of the wingers...

    Loan Watch

He was injured for the second half of last season. Whilst he was out they had two good young keepers come through and he hasn't claimed his spot back.

Apparently he's one of their top earners, no chance of him coming here.

Match Thread Coventry City vs Plymouth Argyle Match Thread - Saturday 18th Aug

The problem with that side is there is no one in the front four that can win a header and with Thomas being 5ft 7in we are an even smaller side than before. We've spent years being bullied in the lower leagues and it doesn't look like we've learned our lesson.

    Luke Thomas

The difference here is that his main position is winger, having watched the first two league games we are crying out for someone that is comfortable out wide.

He can play as a winger which is a position we are short of. Bayliss and Shipley aren't wingers, Jones isn't fit and Allassani doesn't look ready yet. If it means we don't have to keep playing Hiwula wide it's a good thing.

They are trying to play from the back but Leeds are pressing them really well and they've got no room to play.
