Agree to some extent but MVE’s biggest plus point is that full backs in the PL don’t need to be able to defend these days. Players like Alexander-Arnold are some of the worst defensively that you will ever see.

I think Dovin’s injury and Van Ewijk and Rudoni’s form changes our priorities. I don’t know about anyone else but I’m assuming we lose Wright, Van Ewijk and maybe Rudoni. Sheaf is an excellent player. But 2-3 times a game he gives it away via 10 yard passes. It’s infuriating.

Dasilva has been much better of late but his defensive upturn amounts to 3-4 totally standard slide tackles. Also, he and Van Ewijk both favour the very early slide tackle - very risky penalty wise
