Breaking news - league letter to Ainsworth

I wasn't online at the time, but from people I know, the mood was cautious but hopeful. That they made a positive impression by making signings helped their PR battle. You have to appreciate that things have changed, because a lot of people "gave them a chance", which is only reasonable. Since...

Breaking news - league letter to Ainsworth

I love Brass Eye but didn't pick up on the heroin quote being from there seeing as it had no context. Brass Eye's great, but it's not like quoting Python where everyone knows every line!

    JPT Trophy Draw details...

Well, if you have incriminating evidence that the FL have allowed you to field unregistered and hence illegible players and you promise not to tell anyone if they do as they're told, then you get a bye.

This reminds me of that scene in The Simpsons where someone says to Mr. Burns "Monty, you are The Devil Himself!" to which Burnsy replies "Why, who told you?!"

I'm the other way around, from Church Lawford so always Rugby and Coventry fan, although Coventry first. Now I live in Leamington, so have a big soft spot for them, too. And I quite like Nuneaton. It's really weird going on their forums and observing the banter between them (Nun-Leam the big...

Good old Jimmy. He got a mention on here the other week as one of my "favourite ever manager's-not Coventry".

Coventry would be home to Rugby as much as Northampton is home to Coventry. Just because they're small, the tradition and history at a non-league club is no less significant. Indeed with closer ties to the community, the passion at such clubs is arguably greater than at most FL clubs.

    Sixfields atmosphere

Said that before the game when I predicted the win. It looked like a training game atmosphere, which is obviously a lot less pressure and expectation than The Ricoh. Equally, The Ricoh was often an inspiration to opponents. Stands to reason that an empty Sixfields is likely to be the opposite...

We should form a company called "SISU Out" and buy that space that says "your company name here!"
