Ah, ok, but point still stands; that they didn't want to take a player on loan that there was no chance of getting permanently. Binks was a weird signing however you want to look at it, though.

It depends. If they were looking at someone to turn from loan to perm, then they may just have thought Doyle out of our means, which would be fair enough. The strange thing is buying Binks when he didn't really do much during the loan.

Match Thread Sunderland - Coventry City Match Thread - Tuesday 13th May

It didn't help Sunderland get enough points to stay up, certainly. The post you've quoted is correct; it's an example of people finding a way to put the blame elsewhere when they fall short. They're hardly alone in that.

Christ on a fucking bike. That reads like it was written by someone who's proper creepy. You're not on any lists, are you?

Yet they're in the play-off final and we're not. Grow up.

They really do. It's a proper dyed-in-the-wool rivalry that goes beyond football.

Released Players or Made Available for Transfer

I think Lampard clearly rates Torp, and he's the one player that we have that can pick a pass through the lines. We could have done with him against Sunderland. Don't think he's going anywhere.

Released Players or Made Available for Transfer

Thing with Allen is whilst he's clearly a very useful squad player, is that what he wants at this stage of his career? He's clearly good enough to be a mainstay in a mid-ranking Championship team.

He's just not very good, which is why he has to shithouse so much.

    Item 25/26 Coventry Kit

That's one of my least favourite shirts we've worn. I hated that Mickey Quinn kit in the home colours (I think it was the matching shorts), and we're just not a red team.

    Wright

I don't think it's bad attitude per se, I think he loses belief in himself, which ultimately ends up as a lack of determination and fight. He doesn't seem to have the heart when things are against him. It's like O'Nein beat him in every duel, despite being smaller, less strong, and not as good...

You'd have found plenty to agree with that up to recently. It doesn't have the character, that's for sure, but it does generate an atmosphere we never really got at HR. Part of that is because we win more than we lose at the moment, but also partly down to acoustics, too. HR was far more...

Very funny. Stadium of Light is a genuinely cringe worthy name for a ground, though. I remember hearing a recording of it being announced to a room of (presumably) press and supporters, and there being a very audible groan. And why drop Rokerites as your nickname? You may not play in Roker any...

They're just like everyone else. They have their dickheads, but so do we. Their forum is strange, but many internet forums are. I lived there for a bit; it's a bit insular (which is part of the reason they have very good local support), but not unwelcoming in the main. Never had a problem being...

You were very unlucky but don’t be too downbeat

You're so desperate to tell us that. It's almost as if you really care what we think. I know you're trolling (without much wit, unfortunately), but sadly for you Forest and Derby only have eyes for each other.
