    Coventry transfer deadline day

There were a lot of people on here this time last year complaining that SISU had no ambition because Stevenson and Willis had been sold. Hindsight is a wonderful attribute.

    So where were you all?

I'm not going to criticise anyone who didn't go last night or to any other match. I was an armchair supporter for years so I have no moral high ground. For me the real issue is a bit different People say that our following at Wembley, MKand other away games shows that we have the potential to be...

    Name a club

That depends on how previously you want to go. Not being from Coventry, we would occasionally go to Leicester to see First Division football when CCFC were in lower leagues

    Name a club

As I read it, the ambition of the owners is 1 Don't lose any more money 2 Get as much back as they can eventually. They have no footballing ambitions other than any events which happen to contribute to the above. They are not going to spend / gamble any money on improving the team other than...

You're in Robins shoes, what would you do?

Actually I wasn't responding to your OP so much as people who produce a list of players they don't rate and suggest the club should sell them

James Maddison sell on clause? Bid from WEST HAM

According to Daily Telegraph this morning, Norwich have put a price tag of £20M on Maddison to discourage would be buyers at least until the summer. Just passing on what I read without comment

You're in Robins shoes, what would you do?

It's all a bit hypothetical isn't it. You can only sell players that some other club wants to buy. i know that's obvious but it still seems to pass some people by

Club need to be clever now

Well if Stoke was considered not to be a big name, then there aren't many big names left. And just a point on pricing that some people haven't caught on to. When we played Stoke we were playing a team three divisions above. MK were playing a team one division below, so reduced their prices...

Wigan / Wolves interested in Ben Stevenson

When Norwich bought Maddison they said he was one for the future (Norwich chairman as reported on BBC Transfer Day Webpage) There's a big difference between a promising lower league player and an established Prem. player. They don't all make it but most who do need a period of transition. I...

    Nazon

I didn't like him because....... He wasted good chances by going for goal himself He never looked capable of playing for 90mins He asked to be substituted rather than play through a knock He seemed to be a bit of a fair-weather player Basically he seemed to have a poor attitude when he wasn't on...

Wigan / Wolves interested in Ben Stevenson

It would be nice to think long term and build a side for future seasons. What team would we have now if we could have held onto those Academy Grads who have moved on? But we can't afford to build long term as we need the occasional sale to rebuild the financial state of the club, and no SISU...

Wigan / Wolves interested in Ben Stevenson

I would like to think that a team of quality players would always triumph, but teams in this league have beaten us with out any quality players at all. You only get points for results, you don't get points for style....etc.

    Taxi on the way

Come on, be fair. This time last year lots of people were slagging off the club and owners because Stevenson had been sold to Brentford It must be right. I read it on here

Wigan / Wolves interested in Ben Stevenson

Unfortunately long term deals do not tie players down

Wigan / Wolves interested in Ben Stevenson

And that's the problem. I think he might come good again if he had a good run in the side, but in his position, you haven't got the luxury of persisting with him, especially now we have alternatives

Strikers who would do a job

You can't take that in isolation. You need to know what sort of passes were played from midfield. That strike force wouldn't thrive on hoofed passed down the middle
