things go from bad to worse at coventry

Ah Clive Platt, the man that would win 4 out of 5 headers against opposition defenders, but head it straight to the opposition about 4 out of 5 times. No real loss, he encouraged a 'hoof' style play.

Until prooven otherwise treat as a wind up merchant. One of my best mates works at the club and often gives me good snippets of gossip, but he's heard absolutely nothing about this.

Mutton wants to meet the Chinese

Good move by Mutton. Basically seeing if any truth behind it. Put up or shut up. At least you can't say Mutton is acting sheepish.

    Telegraph Investigation into ARVO

I realise some of you feel cheated that the CT have reported this without giving credit, but for the rest of us I'm glad it's out there much more publically now. National press might start to take an interest. It will add pressure to SISU, more so than a few posts on a message board would do...

We need to all get together and start trying to save our club.

I'm working on a plan to takeover the club. First step, and its really only a small hurdle, but I need to acquire a winning Euro Milions lotto ticket.

    Higgs Charity,CCFC/Sisu, City Council.

Thank you for taking the time to be open and inform us of the situation. For us City fans, 60 days is quite a long time we have to realise, that will be just before the season starts again at the earliest. If this is going to impact on the budget and therefore the confirmation that we are to...

SISU will own 100% of the Arena...

I don't suppose you know how many years? I'm assuming its a long term lease. Who owns the freehold?

    mr mutton cet today

Its like being married, whats ours is theirs and whats theirs is theirs. The club can't afford a trip no, but thats CCFC's accounts and budget. SISU own us, and other ventures and other investments. I'd be very surprised if they didn't have millions and millions stashed away. The fans will say...

SISU will own 100% of the Arena...

I guess it was a 50% purchase it might have to be, whereas if it was 100% of it they could just transfer the stadium from ACL and put it on the clubs balance sheet.

SISU will own 100% of the Arena...

Where as at the moment we are a thriving success?? The club has to own its stadium, our position currently is madness. If they get 100% of the stadium I don't see it ever getting worse. It might not drastically improve, but it shouldn't get worse. If the club tries to go on like this then it...

A lot is happening, bit of a summary so far.......

You know what, I thought the same reading the above. The conference is a much better outcome than the midland alliance. It would save at least 4/5 years of grinding back up.

    Right, a call to action!

It's been 10 years since the stadium opened? Or is it a new agreement?

    Right, a call to action!

Apologies, it was a rather hastily posted ( and thought out post ) and clearly you are right as either the ACL makes a loss or the management charge is for £250k, and doesn't really solve a lot. I didn't mention the expenses. But there has to be a way round it. Some potential re-structuring of...

    Right, a call to action!

I don't want to get into a argument over it as I don't have time, and it wouldn't be productive. I offer my point of view as a financial controller of a business about 20 times larger than Ccfc. Feel free to take or leave my comments as you will. All I want to do is ensure people know what...

    Right, a call to action!

I don't see a rent reduction ever solving the problem. Hell, a complete rent free period wouldn't. It's the revenue that's important I agree. But I can't see the Council or Higgs changing any contracts to give us access to these revenue streams for nothing. The only real leverage would be the...

    Right, a call to action!

If the club is going to lose £10m next year, then that over rides everything and you are right.. what is the point? The business is dead. I cannot believe that figure for a minute though. I would of thought it could be based on forecast for the year, but either way it would just mean next year...

    Right, a call to action!

This petition is all very well and good, but I don't feel like there is proper understanding of our situation. Under the new fair play initiative, we can only spend 65% of our turnover on wages. We are losing lots of money in the chamionship already. We will be losing most of our TV money...

"We're going to take a look at the new teams in the divison next season. We'll..."

Its not just them, don't forget Crawley Town next season too!

    Right, a call to action!

Exactly. preferably not SISU, but the alternative to this is liquidation. If its SISU we are stuck with then we'll have to grin and bear it, but the club MUST own the stadium. I'm not really sure what people arn't getting about it to be honest.
