    observer article

As a stand alone article fairly balanced but quoting GMK and SCG but not mentioning SBT which is a far bigger fan's body as well as failing to mention the move to Northampton and the attempts to gain control of the Ricoh though distressing ACL are missing. But as the article says we all want...

Debate re SISU staying or Going

Its a good summary post of our position. With attendances falling with the club concentrating on ongoing legal claims against CCC, short term loans short term contracts, a revolving door of players in and out the downwards spiral will continue, ST renewal next year I predict (not based on a...

What was the WASPS crowd today

I started the thread as I'm surrounded by people who genuinely believe coventry is now a rugby town like Northampton bath gloucester. These rugby fans who weren't there today seem to get a perverse pleasure out of our demise as it has given them the opportunity to go to 5/6 big games a year...

What was the WASPS crowd today

Disagree football fans have loyalty attached to the club first, the sport second, from what I am observing with rugby its the sport first, their club allegiance is less. The Ricoh with less than 15,000 is poor regardless of the sport.

Fleck is evidence how clueless we are

Fleck telegraphs a lot of his crossfield passes one in the second half was easily intercepted and lead to a dangerous counter attack. Simply overrated a midfield containing Fleck & Finch is always going to struggle.

Bob Ainsworth on ACL sale to Wasps

When all the Sisu lovers were bleating on about their investment in Cov (£30m - 50m), why didn't they just concentrate on the purchase price of the CCFC shares (which I believe was zero) or were we quite happy to include the cost of the debts which they paid off / took on. I bow to OSB's...

Bob Ainsworth on ACL sale to Wasps

So if there was no loan what do you think the price would have been,

Bob Ainsworth on ACL sale to Wasps

Whilst control of ACL through owning its shares cost £5.5m, a £14m loan to service is part of the purchase consideration, if WASPS had not agreed to service the loan or the council had written off the loan would it be the same deal. If you were putting together an investment project would you...

Bob Ainsworth on ACL sale to Wasps

Yes they got £2.5m in cash and off loaded 50% of a £14m debt that they were responsible for. If my house was for sale for £100k and I had a £25k mortgage, if you paid me £75k but took on the mortgage it would be the same as paying me £100k outright and me having to settle the mortgage, how much...

Bob Ainsworth on ACL sale to Wasps

To obtain the full use of ACL it cost WASPS £5.5m + £14m loan, who cares a technical accounting term like shareholder value, cash is king, WASPS will have paid £5.5m plus then have the loan interest to repay plus the loan principal, all you council hater pro sisu mob just ignore the loan. If it...

Bob Ainsworth on ACL sale to Wasps

Apparently Grendel has a good job imagine if he went to his bosses saying I've just secured a 250 year lease on a stadium for only £5m and you bought on that basis would be a bit of shocker when the invoices for the loan £14m loan interest started to arrive, its £19m purchase price however you...

    Bolton Wanderers forward Sanmi Odelusi

Today's 2 new additions may become great players but not sure they are whats required in our current predicament we are adding inexperienced strikers who haven't scored at senior level to a team that doesn't create chances and is full of more senior strikers who don't score either

    Dominic Samuel signs

McGoldrick & Clarke were experienced strikers this lad isn't, I will give him a chance like Chuba Fonz Slager Miller Tudgay Nouble Madine - and all other strikers who come here but don't score

Championship Midfielder in on loan tomorrow?

My post is negative, our loan signings have generally been very poor, those that proved to be any good hardly stayed around for any duration, I think we tend to get the cast offs, like Prutton & Anton

Championship Midfielder in on loan tomorrow?

A championship midfielder if he is as good as Prutton was from championship side Sheff Wed or Anton robinson from championship Huddersfield these SISU boys know how to add a few 1,000 on the gate wetting our appetite with a player who can't get into a championship side but will rip through...
