SCG Minutes from 5th March meeting

Two points: Firstly the individuals may not have had the relevant documentation with them to do so. We saw from the last minutes that TF attacked/criticised (choose your own word) Jan for (allegedly) commenting that SISU had taken interest from the club (or something similar- can't be bothered...

You mean in that open, inclusive atmosphere that positively welcomes criticism?

    The Givers and the Takers

Yoi couldn't have seen his home debut (v Man City I think). He was amazing. However, I'd have to agree that his performances pretty quickly started to slip.

SCG Minutes from 5th March meeting

Interesting choice of words, "hatred". Is it not possible to distrust SISU and believe they have been bad for the club without "hating" them? "Hatred" suggests (to me at least, I've not checked the OED) something emotional rather than intellectual. Also having (briefly, once) met Jan, I...

When things look good on the pitch....

Thought today was shocking. There we were 1-0 up, hit the post, everything going well and then the Telegraph print a story that destabilises everyone. At least, I assume that's what went wrong - b@stards.......

    Pressley suing CCFC

Interesting thought. if so, might it apply to anyone else at the club?

    Our Best Academy Product

There's a few for us older types - Jeff Blockley (went on to play for England - albeit only once), Dennis Mortimer (captained a European Cup winning team), Willie Carr, Danny Thomas (also played for England), Mark Hateley (another also played for England - scored away to Brasil!). Graham Oakey...

    Trust Reaction To Club's Accounts

I agree entirely. I'd always be in favour of keeping options open, not burning bridges etc etc, but was simply noting that the focus seemed - unfairly in my eyes - to be on the Trust to always be making these moves.

    Trust Reaction To Club's Accounts

Interesting that we seem to focus on what the SBT should do to get SISU to deal with them in an engaged manner. It strikes me that a well run club might be focussing on what it should do to persuade the largest supporters' (customers') organisation to deal with it in an engaged manner. Or...

    pictures of highfield road

i have an old programme from about 1970 in which Mr Robbins sets out the plans to build a new stand at the Swan Lane end with a gym and various other attractions included. All part of our plans at the time to become part of the European elite. Now we're hoping to cling on to third division status.

    Fisher on new stadium

But the full analogy would have been that they were initially interested, but then told you they were not interested at all and took you to court for some related matter while telling all and sundry that they liked to "batter people in court". If you're like me, at that point you'd probably...

Not often fit, but when he was - what a wonderful player.

    Fisher on new stadium

I'm we all recall Mr Fisher's stance in the rent dispute with ACL when he was quite emphatic that the club had to have - presumably at worst - the "average Lge 1 rent" of £170k. So if the "propco- opco" is going to have an income of (max) £170k per annum, given that "the absolutely crucial...
